chapter 3 : im sorry

avani's pov

I woke up at 8am, earlier than usual and before everyone else, after what happened yesterday I realized how much Kio liked Riley, but the fact that he beat up Jaden, that was just shocking ! I didn't know Kio was capable of that. I just sat there in my bed for a few minutes collecting my thoughts because I know today was gonna be a long day, I decided to get out of bed and go make myself some breakfast, Ry was still sleeping and i didn't wanna wake her up.
I went downstairs and turns out I wasn't the only one awake, Kio wa sitting alone staring at the floor .

avani: hey kio
Kio : oh, hey vani, I can leave if u want
avani: Kio don't be ridiculous.
I walked towards and sat down besides him, I could see the pain in his eyes, I gave him a hug
avani: Kio, everything is gonna be fine, jaden is your best friend he's gonna forgive you and Riley can't go a day without talking to you, she really likes you Kio
Kio : I just don't know what came over me yesterday, i honestly don't even know why I would do such a thing...I barley slept last night all I could think about was jaden's face covered with blood and the way Riley through the sweater at me and ran to her room.

He started crying and I was honestly so sad to see Kio like this...

Riley's pov

I woke up really early this morning, it was 8:30am, I got out of bed, went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, avani wasn't in her bed so i figured she was downstairs making breakfast, I decided to go join her because it was better than being all depressed sitting alone in my bed, I made my way down to the living room

Riley : hey avan-
I stopped my phrase when I saw Kio sitting next to her.
avani: Riley ! Your awake, come...
Riley : no it's ok, I'm gonna go make some breakfast
I turned around and walked the other way to go to the kitchen
Kio : Riley wait, please !
Riley : not at 8am Kio
I didn't even turn around to face him, I was so disappointed...

I made myself some breakfast and kio went up to his room, I sat at the dinning table and started eating and avani came and sat next to me

avani: he's really broken you know
Riley : I am too vani
avani : please forgive him soon, he really likes you
Riley : I'll think about it

I got up and went to clean my plate, I heard someone coming in the kitchen, I turned around and it was jaden

Jaden : good morning Ry
Riley : hey jay, how are you feeling
I turned to see him and his face was covered with bruises
Jaden : I'm just disappointed in him, you know
Riley : yeah, so am I. But Kio sure knows how to throw a damn punch !
I got an ice pack out of the fridge and put it on his cheek, he hugged me and I hugged back
Riley : did you guys talk ?
Jaden : I just got mad and yelled at him yesterday but I didn't see him today
Riley : oh ok
Jaden : anyway I'm gonna go make some breakfast

—few hours later—

It's 10am and everyone is awake, they all ate breakfast and kio finally came out of his room, we all sat in the living room and it was super awkward

Bryce : guys come on, what happened to us ?! We used to be so happy and hyper and now we are all
so depressed
Jaden : kio happened
Kio: guys I said that I'm sorry, I don't know what else to do
Riley : do you see his fucking face Kio ! We aren't gonna forgive you just like that you know
Griffin: guys that's enough
Riley : you know what grif ?! Your right, it's enough, im going to the park
Josh : alone ?
Riley : yep
Avani : you want me to come with ?
Riley : no that's ok
Anthony: why tho ?
Riley : to clear my head
They wanted to stop me but it was too late, I got in the car and started driving

avani's pov

Riley left and it was still awkward,

Bryce : ok guys I had enough of this, let's play a board game
Griffin : that's actually a great idea
Josh : ok I'll go get it
I could see that jaden wasn't having any of this, and  Kio was on the verge of tears and it was so painful to see him this way

We all sat down on the floor and started playing.

Half way through the game Bryce made a really funny joke and we all started laughing uncontrollably

Jaden : yo Kio
Kio : mhm
Jaden : we cool man
Kio : wait ! Really ?!
Jaden : ye I can't stay mad at my best friend
Kio:thank god ! And I'm sorry again

They hugged and everyone started screaming of happiness.
Then josh got a call...

Bryce : josh, who's calling
Josh : let me see
Josh just stared at his phone and looked up at us
avani: is everything ok
Josh : why is the hospital calling me that's weird...
Kio: answer
Josh : ok

He hung up and started crying

avani: josh what's wrong
Josh : Riley
Griffin: josh wtf is happening can you please speak
Josh: she lost control of her car, she's in a coma, get in the car guys
Kio: josh-
Josh : GUYS I SAID GET IN THE FUCKING CAR

We all ran to the car and started driving as fast as we could, we were all crying the whole way there, we finally got to the hospital, we parked and went inside. We asked what room Riley was in and went to see her. I entered her room to see a bunch of machines attached to her, she looked so helpless

Kio : this is all my fault
He starting crying and I went to give him a hug
Josh : kio it's no ones fault don't worry about it
Bryce : she's gonna be ok...right ?
Josh : I don't know guys...I really don't

We all sat next to Riley and started balling our eyes out, my best friend is in a coma, what am I gonna do without her

IMPORTANT: if u see the name nessa instead of avani anywhere I'm sorry !! Basically the character was nessa but since you know she got canceled I changed it to avani
