Y/N P.O.V
Jungkook and I sat across from each other on a small, elegant table in his office. The atmosphere felt tense, the remnants of the earlier incident still lingering in the air.
It was supposed to be a casual lunch, a chance for us to connect and ease the tension, but instead, it felt awkward and uncomfortable.
The silence between us was deafening, broken only by the clinking of cutlery against plates as we awkwardly ate our respective meals. Our eyes occasionally met, but quickly averted, both of us seemingly unsure of how to break the ice. It was as if a barrier had formed between us, inhibiting our ability to communicate freely.
I mustered up the courage to speak, hoping to alleviate some of the unease. "So, how has your day been, Jungkook?" I asked, my voice slightly trembling.
He paused for a moment, his eyes flickering with a mix of emotions before he replied, "It's been... eventful, to say the least." His response was curt, lacking the usual warmth I had grown accustomed to.
I tried to find common ground, something to bridge the gap between us. "I'm sorry for the trouble I caused earlier. I didn't intend for things to escalate like that," I admitted, my voice filled with remorse.
Jungkook sighed, his gaze softening as he looked at me. "It's not entirely your fault. I should have made it clear to the employees about our relationship," he confessed, his voice tinged with regret.
As we sat in the office, the tension from earlier still lingering, Jungkook decided to change the topic, shifting the conversation to something more personal and familiar. He leaned forward, his eyes filled with genuine curiosity.
"So, y/n, how was your day? How are the kids you babysit doing?" he asked, his voice softer and warmer than before.
A smile brightened my face as I realized he remembered the children I cared for.
"They're doing well," I replied, feeling a sense of relief that we could talk about something less strained.
"They're such a joy to be around. We had a fun day playing games and doing activities."
Jungkook nodded, a hint of nostalgia in his eyes. "I remember when we used to play games together," he mused, a touch of wistfulness in his voice. "It feels like a lifetime ago."
Jungkook's words hung in the air, and I found myself stunned by his unexpected reminiscence.
It had been years since we had spoken about our childhood days, and I had often wondered if those memories had faded away for him. To hear him bring up those cherished moments filled me with a mix of surprise and longing.
A wave of nostalgia washed over me as I recalled the countless hours we had spent playing games, laughing, and creating unforgettable memories together. It had been a significant part of our bond, one that I had thought he had forgotten or perhaps outgrown.
I couldn't help but feel a pang of longing for those moments as well.
"Yes, those were wonderful times," I agreed, my voice tinged with nostalgia. "But things have changed since then."
Jungkook's gaze turned earnest as he leaned in closer. "I know things have been difficult between us, but y/n, we can change," he confessed, his vulnerability shining through.
As nostalgia filled the air, Jungkook's gaze softened, and a hint of hesitation flickered in his eyes. It was as if he was contemplating something, his words carefully chosen.
"You know, y/n," he began, his voice gentle yet uncertain. "The memories we shared, the past we lived, those uncertain days... They make me realize how ignorant I was with you and I belittled the woman who cared for me but now I want to change it, change everything, entirely different to the past memories."
I felt my heart skip a beat, anticipation building within me. Was he going to say what I think he would?
He continued, his words gaining confidence. "I've been thinking a lot lately. About how much I want you to be a part of my life, not just in passing moments, but every day. I want you to feel at home with me."
My breath caught in my throat as I processed his words. Was he indirectly asking me to move in with him? The thought filled me with a mix of excitement, uncertainty, and nervousness.
Jungkook's eyes searched mine, seeking an answer, a glimmer of hope. "What do you think, y/n? Would you consider coming back to the Jeon villa?"
A surge of emotions coursed through me as I realized the significance of his words. He wanted me to be a permanent fixture in his life, to share not just the memories of the past, but also the present and the future.
It was a silent invitation, a declaration of his desire for us to be together.
"Are you willing to come back, y/n?" As Jungkook's words hung in the air, a mixture of confusion and uncertainty filled my heart.
While the idea of moving in with him was enticing, I couldn't help but feel hesitant. It was a decision that required careful consideration.
"I appreciate your offer, Jungkook," I replied, my voice filled with sincerity. "The thought of living together again is fine, but I need some time to think it through."
Jungkook's expression softened, understanding evident in his eyes. "Of course, y/n," he nodded, his voice gentle. "I understand that it's an important decision. Take all the time you need. I just want you to know that I'm committed to making things work between us."
A sense of relief washed over me as I saw his understanding and willingness to wait. It showed me that he was serious about rebuilding our relationship and was willing to respect my need for time.
"Thank you," I said, my voice filled with gratitude.
