Maddies POV-
Oh yeah. Ugh why can't he just sleep on the floor. I guess there will be a pillow barrier. "Fine. But there is a pillow barrier between us."
"Fine by me. At least I'm on the bed."
I start pulling the comforter down. I then lay throw pillows between us and lay in the bed. "Turn off the lights, Issac."
"Why me? You turn it off."
"I'm already under covers. You are just on the covers."
"Fine." Issac turns off the lights and I close my eyes. I feel the bed sink in on the other side and the blankets shuffle. Soon he lays still and I hear him breathing. I am on the edge of sleep when the babies cry.
Quietly I get up and prepare two bottles. I go to the girls' room and set the bottle on the table by the rocking chair before grabbing first Hazel then Autumn. I sit down and try to figure this out. How will I feed them both at the same time.
After trying a couple things I realized I couldn't so I put Hazel back and fed Autumn, she drank the formula fast and soon fell asleep.
I put her in her crib and took Hazel out. She kept grabbing my hair that was falling near her face. Finally she finished her bottle and fell asleep. I placed her back in her crib and turned out the lights.
I went to the bedroom and got back in bed. Falling asleep almost immediately.
...
I was woken again to the sound of the babies crying on the monitor at about 12:00. I got up last time so I turn to wake Issac up but he was already taking care of it. I fall back asleep.
...Surprisingly the girls don't wake up again during the night.
I wake up around 7:00 and decide it's time to get out of bed. Issac was already up. I walk into the living room and sit on the couch. The TV is on but Issac isn't in the room. I assumed he was with the babies. I wait for him to come out while flipping through the channels. He walks out a couple of minutes later with the twins who are fully dressed.
"Why are they dressed so early?"
"I thought we could go to the park today. I don't really want to sit around."
"Alright I'll go get ready. Have you eaten breakfast?" I get up and start walking to the bedroom.
"No. I can make something or we can stop on the way. I've already fed the girls."
Well I want Starbucks. "We can stop"
I get dressed in a nice yellow sun dress with sandals. I comb my hair and brush my teeth. My makeup is just the slightest bit of mascara for the day. I go out to the living room with my purse.
"Ready to go?" Issac asks me while strapping Hazel and Autumn in to the car seats
I nod my head. I grab the stroller and take it to the car. Issac follows me out with both carseats and unlocks the car doors. I put the stroller in the back and take Hazel to secure her in the seat.
Issac and I shut the car doors simultaneously and we hop in the front seats. Me in the passenger.
Issac starts the car. "So where are we going?"
"Starbucks I want some coffee."
He backs out and we are on our way. "Thank you for waking up with the girls last night," I say.
He glances at me. "It's fine. We are in this project together."
The drive there becomes awkward because there is no music on. It is his car so I don't touch the radio. I start humming so maybe he would get the hint "You can turn the music on if you want," Issac says. Yes. I turn on my favorite radio station. 107.9 THE END. The song Earned It by the Weeknd comes on. This is my jam. I start singing along not caring what Issac thinks. I know it's a sexual song and there is a guy in the car but whatever. "SOo I love when you call unexpected." He shakes his head and laughs but I continue. "Cause I hate when the moments expected. So ima care for you, you you." Sadly we are at Starbucks and we have the turn the music off for a minute.
We pull into the Starbucks parking lot and into the drive through. The lady asks our order and I tell her mine. "Venti Caramel Macchiato, upside down, extra caramel. Oh and a chocolate chip croissant"
Issac says his next, "Venti iced coffee, breve, one pump vanilla, one pump classic. And I'll have just a plain croissant." I thought my drink was complicated but compared to his it really isn't. WE pull up the the window and when Issac is pulling out his money I stop him and say, "I will pay." Before he can protest I reach over and give the woman the exact amount of $9.45. At the next window we get our orders. I take a huge sip when I get mine and feel already energized. We drive to the park which is only about five minutes away.
I exit the car and get the stroller out. Issac takes the car seats out and attaches them both securely onto the stroller. We decide we are going to just take a walk.
