Forty Two

Weeks have passed and it was Christmas eve. Liam told us he was already on his way here. I haven't seen him since the end of summer and the feeling of just waiting for him makes me very anxious. For the past few weeks, I've distracted myself. I got a letter from the University of London and got accepted. I've saved money from all the extra shifts I've picked up from work, so close on entering the new year.

I haven't really thought about Niall when I'm keeping myself busy. There's been times when I wanted to crawl back to bed and cry over a guy, a stupid one but I didn't let myself to do it. I've seen movies where girls just cry and cry over a guy for being so stupid and I've always promised myself to never be like that. Growing up, I was always daddies little girl and I was never into dating, especially when I made that one mistake to date Matt. My dad always told me that no guy will ever be good enough for me.

I should've kept my wall up when I met Niall.

"Sam, can you bring the presents I wrapped up in my bedroom and put them in the corner of the living room?" My mom asks.

We didn't really plan on having a Christmas tree this year since we were all doing our own thing and Christmas just flew by without warning. We all just felt like we wanted to be with our family only and not have to worry about a tree. As I stack a few boxes on top of each other so I can bring them out to the livingroom, I heard a car door slam from outside.

I instantly dropped all the presents, knowing that Liam is home so he can bring out the gifts for us. I mean, hey, he's strong for a reason!

I walk out of the room, already seeing my mom run out of the house to hug Liam before he can even pull his bag out of the cab. "Oh my god!"

I watch my mom launch her arms into my brothers arms, crying her eyes out. I walk outside the house, walking towards the brother and daughter reunion. "You got so big!" My mom says as she pats Liams new muscles.

Wow. A lot can happen in 4 months.

Liam smile grew bigger as I approach them two. "Welcome back!" I said, being pulled into a big hug. My face nuzzled into Liams chest, smelling his new scent cologne.

We both pulled away and continued to unload the cab. We brought the three bags of Liams into the house, already stunned about where we're gonna put it. Now that I think about it.... Does this mean Liam gets his room back? He goes back to college in like a month so this shouldn't hurt.

"I made sure Ashton cleared out his room a bit to make room for you, Liam."

"Do I at least get my bed back?"

"Yea. Ashton said he'll make a bed for himself on the floor but you don't have to worry so much about him, he's barely home." My mom shrugs as she drags his luggage into his old room.

"Oh? And where does he stay?"

My mom and I both looked at each other, realizing we never really had an answer. "I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure he's safe." I said, thinking he's probably staying with Tasha from time to time.

They're probably together right now but who knows. He did say he'll be home tonight for dinner and to spend some time with Liam like the old times. My mom was pretty shocked when he said he'll be home tonight but I knew there was a new act Ashton wanted to show. I liked it.

For the past few weeks, I also got some things out of Ashton. It turns out he's been trying to get his mentality back together so he can get his shit together and Tasha has been helping him. He also told me he's been trying to make things work with Tasha which I find it amazing. He also did mention that I was motivating him, seeing how much I was looking forward to many things in my life.
