Chapter 1 — A Human

Alliana's POV

We walk into the center of some buildings. It was bright and somewhat hot. I look into my pale hands turning bright red when I stepped onto the bright light. My body's getting heavy, feeling my powers were draining from my system. I'm surprised the boys hasn't feeling anything.

"So this is Eeyerth.. It's..."

Asch's words were interrupted by Noi's screaming in horror. My head turned to Noi with wide eyes in worry. I gasp when he's getting red too. Noi's hands were on the sides of his head.

"AAAGH! BURNING!! "
Noi screams

"WHAT'S WRONG?!"
Rhys asked in alert. He looked over Noi with wide eyes.

"My skin is on fire!! "
Noi screams in horror, again. He kneels down and put his hands on the ground for support.

"NOI GET OUT OF THE LIGHT!"
I yell at him as my body couldn't take it any longer. I did what Noi was doing. I close my eyes, while quite in pain.

"Hang on, I could—"
Leif was cut off by him feeling he's suffocating. He holds onto his neck.

Pierce slouch from the effects he's recieving from Earth itself.
"The.. Air.."

"I didn't expect the environment to affect us so much.."
I whimper approvingly to Rhys. I crawl to the shadows as fast as I can. It might help me.

"Shadows.. I need them.."
Noi crawls towards me to the shadows. I put my hands out to help Noi. He falls onto my arms and I worryingly brush his hair with my free hand. Surprisingly, his hair was burning hot. We sat up.

"S-Stay calm."
Pierce demands as he tries so hard to stand straight.

"Wise advice, Pierce. The effect is wearing down slowly. But the air still has toxicity to it."
Rhys guesses which leads me in wonder, the air does suffocates us. Is it because we're daemos?

"Or maybe the humans here expected us coming!"
Noi angrily said as I shook my head. I open my mouth to say something, but apparently Leif knows what to say.

"Humans aren't that smart, Noi. There's no way."

I put my hand out to Leif, then he took it. I pull him over to me. I cold him up while rubbing his arms. The shadows helped me a little there.

"PRINCE ASCH!"

My head shot up towards Asch. He was laying on the ground, lifeless. My eyes went wide as I try to stand up to go to Asch, but I was too weak. I crawl to him and put his head on my lap.

"LEIF! NEEDING YOU HERE!"
The reason I'm calling Leif, is he's more powerful than I am. He heals everyone who's in need. Seeing him in a hard state, makes me worry so much.

"We.. Need to heal Asch!"
He groans loudly as I panic. I check Asch's breathing, and he's not breathing! Damn it! What to do?!

They were trying so hard to go to me and Asch. Rhys then started crawling. I think it's because of their outfits that makes them hard to move. BUT I DON'T KNOW, I'M NO HUMAN!
"IT'S HARD TO MOVE!"
