Chapter 2 - A Threat

Alliana's POV

"I wonder where this spirit is leading us."
Noi wonders as I nod along, still holding onto Leif's hand. Surprisingly, he hasn't let go like he used to when we were at Daemos. Maybe it's his comfort right now.

"Those steps are killing me. My legs can't get any more."
Leif whines and I roll my eyes.

"You don't take your training too seriously."
I tell him and he gasps dramatically.

"Yes I do!"
Leif said in disbelief.

"People, let's focus."
Rhys said. This guy is completely no fun in my list. Darn.

We stop in front of double doors, where the spirit leads us to. Asch looks at the knobs. He tries to open it, but it wouldn't budge.

Seemingly, an idea slipped through his mind. He used his powers to burn the knob to unlock the door. The doors then flew open. I then hear clapping from Noi. Hi watch in amazement, as Asch has his brows knitted together.

"You're highness, was that use of magic really necessary?"
Rhys asks.

Asch slowly turns around, with determination on his face,
"Yes.."

The spirit then stands up from waiting and went inside the room. While we are still outside. Rhys squints his eyes,
"It seems the spirit has allowed us entrance."

"Wow.. COOL!"
Noi watch the Spirit and went inside quickly, can't wait any longer.

Rhys calls out for Noi and we follow inside. The place is light, white and beautiful. The girl has a style, got to admit. Noi looks around more while sitting on a wide table as Pierce walk to the cushion to put the human down.

Me, Leif, Rhys and Asch are on the side watching them. Then Noi ran off to the table where the spirit is sitting on. He giggles as he watch the spirit.

"Hi spirit! Awh! I think the spirit might like me."

His arm stretch out to the Spirit and pinch it's cheek. It made the Spirit mad. Noi looks at the Spirit in realization and ran off as the it went to chase him.

Noi was screaming.
"AAAH! IT'S NOT FRIENDLY! HELP! "

We all look at Noi went and Pierce looks at us, "The spirit has decided that Noi must die."

"Good."
Asch quickly said after Pierce.

We all hear Noi scream helplessly as it seems that the spirit is torturing him slowly. I rest my face on my hand, dissapointed on what Noi is doing.

"Noi! Die in silence! The last thing we need you doing is alerting the nearby humans!"
Rhys said and I sigh.

"Are we really going to let Noi die? I mean I'm all for it, but-"
I cut off Leif,

"You guys are just cruel, I'm going to help the kid."

I walk off to Noi who was helplessly on the ground as the spirit on top of him. I roll my eyes, seeing it is completely harmless, and Noi is just being screaming for help while it wasn't doing anything.
