her
"lottie, i don't like this west—"
"sorry pa, gotta go! love you!"
i grab a cookie and rush out of the house,
hearing the grunt of his bike
"hi," i say, smiling
he puts my helmet on my head,
and grins: "hello," his lips touch the corner of mine
i instinctively put my arms around his waist,
the feel of his body instantly spreading a
warmth throughout my veins
he stops at the small building's parking
and we both take a deep breath.
my heart pounds meteorically
the human bodies around us run inside,
but some stop and stare at us
him
"lotus," i say, "breathe."
anxious heart beats are resounding,
on my back and i can feel nervousness
gnawing at every part of her
i take my helmet off, and do the same for her
"you have funny helmet hair," i comment, standing up
she grimaces, then smiles,
and her mess of a hair is remotely cute
"you have a funny face."
"should i take that as a compliment?"
"not really, north."
"too bad, because this funny face
is gonna kiss you."
i hold her waist and bring my face close
to hers, pecking her lips lightly
"hm. you taste like chocolate," i say.
"is that good or bad?"
"i'm not too sure. lemme try again."
we hear collective gasps,
kids are gaping at us, murmuring about
"the awkward short girl and the bad boy"
i look at lotus, expecting her to cower
but she says: "hmph, you know what?
i was so nervous about school, because
of whatever we are. we know what we are,
but they don't. so fuck it."
she grabs my collar and kisses me,
and all i can think is:
this is the first time i've heard her swear
and—she does taste like chocolate.-
my babies, i caNT im drowning in the westie feels
love you all xoxo
