Donnie said he wanted company as he worked on making retro-mutagen, but April is in there- he only asked me since I'd be more awake as he worked. He starts pouring two different liquids together as he says "almost... got it" so I sigh and spin around. "Dang this takes forever Donnie" "I know, I'm sorry-" "are we done yet Donnie??" April asks tiredly. "We've been up for, like, a million hours" April says and yawns right after, so I laugh a little. Donnie just says "d-don't worry April, this time... it's gonna work" I smile saying "yeah, this is Donnie we're talking about."

That made him smile as he continued to work saying "yeah, we'll finally be able to turn your dad human again" April smiled as she looks like she'll fall asleep. "Now, I'm adding a sample of your DNA, so brace yourself" Donnie says, but April fell asleep. I roll my eyes at that, I've been up as long as she has and I'm still wide awake, despite the fact that I don't understand Donnie. "This will be the scientific breakthrough of the century!" I smile and say "if anyone can have it, it's you." Donnie smiles at me, but looks at April to see that she did fall asleep, so he smiles, so I roll my eyes again.

"S-Sorry" Donnie says as he goes over to put the liquid in the microscope to examine it "okay mutant cells, please turn normal- please turn normal." As he stands there, looking like he's shaking, I put my hand on his shoulder to let him relax. Donnie did relax- scratch that, he groaned, but took that back as he jumped up with a smile. "Eureka.. I did it! I really did it!! Woo hoo hoo hoo hoo!" Donnie screamed happily as he picked me up. I laugh a little as he does this, but he started twirling in circles- at least until April woke up.

 "You did it? You really did it?!" April asks happily, Donnie looked at her with a smile as he dropped me, I furrow my eyebrows at him.  "Did what??" Leo asks confused, I turn to see the guys all standing there- Sam went to sleep about an hour ago. Mikey was smiling big as he asks "invent pizza that doesn't get soggy in milk?" Then he took a bite of pizza. Raph walked over to me and helps me up as I say "no, he didn't do that Mikey, no one will do that." Donnie nods his head with his big smile saying "I finally made it, retro-mutagen you guys."

April got a bit of her bangs out of her eyes as I say "the key to turning Mr O'Neil human again" April was smiling at that. Donnie grabbed the beaker saying "and you too sensei" "human, once more?" He asks with hope. Then he looks at the guys saying "save April's father first, and then I will.. consider it" I nod my head with a smile. 'This feels oddly familiar.... why does this feel familiar?' I think confused as I furrow my eyebrows. "What's up buttercup?" Raph asks as he leans on my shoulder a bit, probably happy that he's taller than me.

I roll my eyes and say "just thinking about something, that's all-" "ooo~ What if I turned myself human again? I wonder what I'd look like." Then Mikey imagined himself as a human as he says "what up?" "You were never human to begin with, genius. We'd just turn back into turtles" Raph says as he rolls his eyes at Mikey's smug look on his face. Donnie grabbed the beaker back from Mikey saying "give me that, I've only got enough for two doses. One for April's dad and one for Master Splinter" "can you make more of the stuff?" Leo asks while putting his hands to his hips.

Laughing a little at the question I answer for Donnie "yeah, but it takes ten canisters of mutagen to refine just one tiny dose of retro-mutagen. Donnie over here doesn't have any left" then April was looking so happy at Donnie, who was standing next to her. "I'm just... speechless! Thank you, thank you so much Donnie, you're the best!" April says. Remembering that she kisses Donnie on the cheek, I look away with a hurt expression. This time though.... when Donnie couldn't say anything as he was lovestruck- he almost fell to the floor.

My eyes widen as I go to him saying "Donnie, are you okay??" I also helped him stand up right, not easily though, it was hard. He's taller than me, has a shell and isn't able to stand upright on his own right now as he leans on me. We both ended up falling to the floor, groaning as we finally look to see what happened. Neither of us could stop the blush from forming on our faces as we nervously laughed and apologized to the other. "That's about, what, seventeen points?" Raph teases, so I scoff and help Donnie stand up.

"'Points'??" April and Leo ask confused "don't ask" both me and Donnie say in unison, but I put my hand to my head as I sigh. "Something tells me we're going on a search mission, I'll go wake up Sam" I say and walk away. "I can do it!" Leo offers, but I just wave him to follow me as I say "I'll need the backup, Leo. Just come with me, this girl is really angry when she doesn't get enough sleep at night. Prepare yourself for laser eyes" Leo nods his head and gets his katana ready, making me chuckle.

"You think that'll defend you from lasers or Sam.... that's cute" I whispers as we get close to Sam's door, so I breathe in and out as I knock on the door. After a second stuff is crashing in there, so I hide behind Leo, who's, tense to the max. "WHY IN THE SHELL WOULD YOU WAKE ME UP?!" Sam yells as she opens the door to look at us. Her stare softens for a second at the sight of Leo, but she goes back to glaring in an instant. "W-Well *clears throat* we just wanted to see if you wanted to come on a search mission for a mutant."
