SPRING
🌸

IT WAS WHITE DAY and it was safe to say that Y/n was beyond excited. She'd already given some gifts back to the girls and boys who'd confessed to her (minus the one who took their teddy bear back of course). She was both anxious and excited to see what Noya had in store for her. She'd pestered him a few times, but he'd always dance around the topic.

The boy had a talent for hiding surprises, especially if they were really good ones like these. Whenever she did text him or ask him about it, he'd merely change the topic to the weather or tell her to be patient; which was highly ironic coming from him. It was either that or he'd make such a cute expression that she'd forget.

Tanaka looked over at her, "So, you have no idea?" He was intrigued. Of course, he knew what his best friend had planned. It wasn't traditional, but it also wasn't too wild. It was a perfect balance of Noya and Tanaka was sure that Y/n would like it. "Nope." She shook her head as her phone suddenly buzzed, Ryū grinning.

yūwu | 8:49 a.m.
do u want the full white day experience?

Y/n was out the door before you could say "rolling thunder". She grabbed her stuff and quickly reminded Tanaka to take notes for her, storming out the school only to run into Karasuno's male libero at the gate. "Ready to go?" He teased, watching her carry all her school stuff. She looked at the boy.

"You couldn't have told me to not come to school in the first place?"

He shrugged, grinning innocently. "I fell asleep to your videos again; is that a crime?" Noya replied smoothly as her face heated up at his words. To make up for it, he grabbed her bag and carried it, chiming childishly. "First stop, your house!" She stared at him confusedly. Y/n blinked with wide eyes. "Wait, why?"

Noya looked at her, "Do you really want to go out in your school uniform?" She looked down at her clothes briefly before rapidly shaking her head. For once, it seemed like Noya had properly thought things through and set up a plan. As soon as they reached Y/n's house, she darted upstairs and quickly changed.

Shoving her school stuff to the side, she hopped down the stairs again and arrived at his side with a bright smile. He returned the grin, admiring her as his hand laced with hers. "Let's go," She said excitedly, suddenly tugging him out the door instead. He laughed at her enthusiasm.

Isn't this supposed to be the other way around?

He didn't bother to complain though once he saw the blissful smile on her face. If this is what made her happy, he wouldn't bother interrupting even if it was the end of the world. "What's the next stop?" She chirped, bouncing on her heels. Noya smiled at her, "The bowling alley." Almost instantly, her eyes narrowed.

They held a competitive glare in them and Noya would be lying if he said he didn't find it hot. "Oh, it's on," She threatened confidently as he rolled his eyes and played along with her little teasing game. "We'll see," He perked a brow at her in an amused manner before leading her over to a bus stop.

The entire bus ride consisted of them squaring each other up, listening to music, and watching the clouds swallow up the light blue sky. "It's going to rain," Y/n mumbled as she peeled out of the bus window. Noya looked in the direction she was gazing in, catching a glimpse at what she was talking about.

Shrugging nonchalantly, he smiled. "Then, I'll just win while it's raining."

"Why you—"

To say the least, Noya managed to lose; in both games. Each victory led to a little triumphant dance that Y/n displayed, some people even looking over with bewildered expressions as Noya captured the entire thing with her camera. "So," She smirked as she turned in her shoes. "How does it feel to lose?"

Noya hummed thoughtfully, a short of confidence filling him as he realized that she'd be spending the whole day with him. He chastised himself. What's life without any risks? The libero finally spoke up, "Not bad. I still have a pretty girl," He shrugged as her face flushed instantly. Her flustered expression only amused him more.

"You don't mean that," She smacked his shoulder, making him raise a brow at her. "And if I do?" Y/n fell silent. She didn't have any other valid argument other than denial, so it was safe to say that he'd utterly shut down all points of refusal with that retort. Swallowing her anxiety, she mumbled.

"Besides, you always had me."

This time, it was Noya's turn to get all messed up. His face turned a bright red and he covered his hand with his mouth. Y/n tried not to peek over at his expression too much, but she found it too cute not to admire. After turning in their shoes, they walked out with laced hands, watching the rainfall.

"What are we goi—"

"LAST ONE TO THE BUS STOP IS A ROTTEN EGG!"

Nishinoya darted forward, barely giving the girl any head starts as he sprinted towards the bus stop. Y/n yelled after him and followed closely behind him, screaming in German. This only prompted him to move faster, boarding the bus that was waiting there. She was next, soaking wet as water dripped off her clothes.

As she began ranting to him and mumbling nonsense in German, Noya's eyes darted around to staring strangers. Instinctively, he took off his hoodie and pulled it onto Y/n with no explanation whatsoever. She blinked, turning her head to ask. "People were staring," He answered simply, not even letting her talk.

She processed what he said for a moment before smiling warmly. She snuggled into his arm, squeezing his hand as her head dropped to his shoulder. Noya could feel his heart hammering in his chest as her breathing evened out. It was the second time she fell asleep on him and he just hoped that it wouldn't be the last.
