Okay, here's what I'm thinking:

Marshall Lee has had the biggest crush on Gumball for the longest time. He has slowly been working up the courage to tell him. Well, today way the day. He made his way to the Candy Kingdom, a smile on that face of his. He could hear Gumball in the garden, so he made his way back there only to stop dead in his tracks. What he saw? Gumball and Fiona, holding each other lovingly.
