I went to bed last night feeling satisfied that Lucas and I had solved the drama. Whether he actually was filming something for his team or it was just a lie I don't know..but I'm gonna take his word for it..because that's what you do when you wanna trust someone right?

I spent the morning in bed loving it, having a coffee and watching my Netflix without having to worry about what Zoe's doing or Lucas coming in wanting attention..Actually..they have been pretty quiet today? I get dressed for the day before going over to Zoe. "Zo-" I say walking into her room, stopping mid sentence once I realised she wasn't in there

"Zoe?" I call through the house, walking down the stairs to see her and Lucas in the kitchen covered in flour. Eggs cracked on the table, milk spilt across all the benches, my jaw hit the floor "what are you doing!" I shriek at Lucas who looked scared

"We were trying to make pancakes..but something isn't working" Zoe defended "well clearly!" I state, gesturing to the mess around them "Zoe go get in the shower, I'll clean up" I tell her, pulling her off the seat and letting her run up to the bathroom

I turned my attention back to Lucas who had pancake batter smeared across his chest. I raised my eyebrows waiting for an explanation "I wanted to do something nice for you..but I don't think cooking is the way to go" he mumbled sadly

My heart melted from his words "no..try a mall voucher next time" I reply, a small smile on my face. He comes over to me, wrapping his arms around my small body "no you're gonna get pancake batter on me" I protest before he got to close

He ignored me however, pulling me into his chest "do you forgive me?" He pouts "yea..I do" I reply, releasing our grip on each other "good" he smiled, leaning down to place a light kiss on my lips before walking away to clean up

I paused for a few moments, a idiotic smile on my face and butterflies re appearing in my stomach "Maybe we should go out for lunch?" I suggest while wiping down the benches, soaking up the milk and flour "Yea let's do that, Zoe will be so excited" he replied as he washed up the dishes. Once we were all done tidying up, Zoe stormed back down to the kitchen

"Now. You shower" I point to the stairs, gesturing for Lucas to use them "yes ma'am" he replied acting all scared "Zoe were going out for lunch" I inform her, brushing past her "can we go to banana cafe?" She asked excitedly "Uh sure?" I question, banana cafe?

"Ready to go?" I ask Lucas as he jogs down the staircase to meet Zoe and I "yup" he replied, picking up his keys and taking them out the house with him. We got Zoe buckled into the car before heading to this cafe Zoe wanted to go to "Lucas! Mommy comes home in 2 weeks!" Zoe said excitedly from the back seat

"Yea how exciting" Lucas replied "do you miss her?" I ask Zoe, turning in my seat. "Yea..I don't want you to go though..Lucas do you think mommy will let maya stay with us?" Zoe asked while trying to find Lucas' gaze in the mirror "I do, but maya has a family too Zo" Lucas frowned

"Yea, when they're home" I mumble, only loud enough for Lucas to hear "when did you see them last?" He asked "I dunno like 3 weeks to a month ago" I shrugged "it doesn't matter, I like being on my own" I add, not wanting the sympathy card from him "well you should come over when they're out, I don't like being on my own" he smirked causing me to hit his arm

"We're here!" Zoe shouted, unbuckling herself from her car seat "yay.." I trailed off, looking at the bright yellow cafe with money's drawn on the window. We got inside and sat down at a table in the corner "aren't you just the cutest little girl ever!" A red haired waitress said approaching our table

"Thank you!" Zoe beamed, barely looking up from the colouring in menus that they have here "and you aren't too bad either.." she winked at Lucas, giving him a small giggle after. I instantly gagged in my mouth, in fact you could probably have seen my body repulse from her flirting

"Yea okay" Lucas replied to her, subtly wrapping his arm over my shoulder "what would you like to get baby?" He asked, kissing my forehead gently "I'll get an iced coffee thanks" I asked the waitress "I'll get the same and she will have the strawberry cheesecake" Lucas informed the waitress who tutted and walked away with a nasty look on her face

I turned to Lucas with my eyebrows raised "what? You don't like the nickname?" He pouted "it's just unlike you" I replied "well get used to it, cos this is me now and you're the only one I'm interested in" he said quietly, pushing a strand of hair behind my ear, a smile on his face

I squealed with myself on the inside, pretending Riley and I were freaking out with each other. I smiled at his words which replayed in my mind "here you go" the waitress said emotionless, placing down the drinks and the cheesecake "thank you!" Zoe beamed, picking up her fork to eat it.

"Thanks huckleberry" I whisper, kissing him gently then moving away before Zoe looked up "she's gonna find out you know?" He smirked "yea well she can find out after your mother does" I sass back to which he throws his hands up in defeat
