It was bright in the room when I woke up with the sun peeking out from behind the blinds in my bedroom. I looked at the clock it read, 9:30. ‘What a wonderful time to wake up,’ I thought to myself as I got out of bed. I raised the blinds and opened the window to breathe in the cool, crisp, and really cold morning air. I was freezing instantly. Damn it’s cold in December in Michigan. Then I remembered it was the first day of Winter Break. “WooooooHooo!” I yelled a tad too loudly while jumping around. Finally I had some time off from all the studying and homework.

“Are you ok in there?” my friend Jack asked me through the door. “Yea I’m fine.” My friend Jack was kind of tall, pretty muscular, dark blonde hair almost to the point of brown, and turquoise eyes. We were pretty good friends but not great like my friend Ryliee. “Alright well Ryliee is making breakfast so be out here soon,” he told me. Ryliee was decently tall, long dirty blonde, and dark turquoise eyes. She was my best friends and she was the best cook I knew she always made the best meat. I quickly pulled on a pair of black skinny jeans and a plain crimson v-neck with a navy blue flannel over it. The v-neck made my muscles stand out. I am a little below average height for my age, I have raven colored hair and brown eyes that were almost black. Then I pulled on some black socks and some navy blue Converse. I grabbed my Droid Razr M from off the charger and opened the door. Jack was waiting silently doing something with his phone. He was wearing a plain white tank top with blue jeans and Vans. We walked down the hallway to the kitchen we pass by Jamie’s room. She was a dirty blonde with light blue eyes. She was still asleep as usual. She was our only non-werewolf friend that actually knew about us. She was pretty much in the pack she just wasn’t allowed to fight.

I walk into the kitchen and instantly am greeted with the smell of maple, pancakes, bacon, and eggs. “Mmm…”

“It doesn’t smell that good does it?” Ryliee asks me, trying to fish a compliment. “Well let me taste the food and I’ll respond to that statement,” I beg. Jack and I sit down and Ryliee serves us plates piled with food, we dig in greedily and Jamie comes in seeing us stuff our faces she asks, “Is there any left for me you greedy bastards?”

“Yea probably,” Jack responds with a mouthful of food and no sympathy for her whatsoever. She makes a plate of food and sits down with us. “Well what is everybody doing for Winter Break?” Jamie asks breaking the silence that is simply Jack, Ryliee and I stuffing our faces. “Um, I’m busy eating so shut up.” Ryliee responds, we don’t bother were eating.

“Well fine Miss Bitchypants,” Jamie shoots right back. Jack and I then look at each other then burst into a fit of laughing over the two girls. “Anyways, I’m going to the lodge at Lake Superior anybody wanna join me. “ROAD TRIP,” the three of them cheer in unison. “Alright let’s go take showers and clean the dishes and then we can pack up and go.” Ryliee says, and then we hear a knock at the door.
