Author's Note: Originally, I had Lana Condor and Hailee Steinfeld casted as Dahlia Jade (then named Anya Scott) and Regina. Halle Galway's name was actually Thao Scott portrayed by Olivia Munn, but I changed it last second due to there being more gifs of the actresses I chose now that had to do with subjects associated with 'Outer Banks'.
I had casted Ross Lynch as Sam Moore, but also because of lack of gifs, I swapped him out for Noah Centineo. And Maya Hawke as Candice was originally Rachel Zegler. The only character that stayed the same was James McAvoy as Ian Galway (renamed from Ian Scott).
Then after the characters, I had to switch up my plot a little to alter the background stories. I had developed a backstory specifically for Lana's portrayal, then changing it to match Zendaya in the lead-role.
'Eastside' wasn't even my first choice of titles, and instead to follow up with my scrapped plot. It was called 'Miss Saigon', based on half the family coming from Vietnam and having to do with a story of refugees hence the name. It would have to do with half-sisters instead of full-siblings, and once again was altered. Ah, the struggles of creating.
