"You're going on a world tour in three weeks and you didn't bother to tell me until right now?" I yell at Ashton. I can't believe he would drop this bomb on me now during our weekly movie night sleepover. He sighs and pauses The Amazing Spider-Man.

"Nat, I was going to tell you, but-" His voice is infuriatingly calm.

"I don't want your lame excuses, Irwin. Why did you wait so long?"

"Well if you would let me explain-"

"What is there to explain? You're going on tour around the entire world and you'll be gone for months but you didn't bother to let your best friend know." I'm practically screaming at him. "I-" he puts his hand over my mouth before I can say anything else. I try to pull his hand off but he just pulls me to his chest as I struggle with not being able to talk.

"I didn't tell you because I wanted to ask to your mom first." I attempt to question him but it probably just sounds like muffled nothing. "Now do you promise not to yell at me as you let me explain further?" I hesitantly nod as he removes his hand from my mouth and turns me so I'm facing him. "Nat, I wanted your mom's approval to bring you with us before I told you about the tour."

"I..." I'm at a loss for words.

"Natalie," Ashton says with the biggest grin on his face, "pack your bags because you're coming on tour with us." I screech with excitement and tackle him onto the ground in a bear hug. He laughs as he hugs me back.

I sit back up and groan. Ashton gives me a questionable look. "Dammit, Irwin, now how am I supposed to focus on movie night when I know I'm going on tour with 5 Seconds of Summer?" He laughs at me and shakes his head while pressing play on the remote to resume the movie.

I try very hard to focus on the movie, which is actually one of my favorite movies, but my mind has other plans. It focuses on what I'm going to pack for the tour and how much fun it's really going to be, even though the thought seems surreal.

When the movie is over, Ashton and I decide to go to sleep. Both of us always sleep in my queen-sized bed without any awkwardness between us since we've known each other for so long. I listen to Ashton's snores next to me when the thought finally hits me and feels real.

I'm going on tour around the world with 5 Seconds of Summer.

"Now you kids better behave or I swear to God I will get on the next flight to wherever you are and bring Natalie home," mom looks at Ashton in the rear view mirror as we fly by trees on our early morning 6am drive to the airport.

"Don't worry, Diana, I'll get her home safe and sound," Ashton winks at her.

"I can't believe this is actually happening," I'm still in awe of the whole situation.

"Well, Nat, you better start believing because we're at the airport," he has the biggest grin on his face and I can't help but smile.

My mom parks the car and Ashton hops out before it even stops completely.

"Natalie, are you sure you're going to be safe with him," she looks over at me and I roll my eyes.

"I can fend for myself. I'll be fine. He knows you'll kill him if anything happens to me." I get out of the car and surprisingly Ashton already has my luggage in his hand.

"Nat, you're so slow you're going to make all of us miss our flight." He gives me my carry on bag to hold but he rolls my luggage along with his.

"Such a gentleman," I smirk and roll my eyes as my mom and I jog to catch up to him.

"If you're too slow," he doesn't even stop moving as he talks, "I swear I will leave you behind."

"Ashton Fletcher Irwin, you better not leave my baby girl behind." My mom threatens him.

"Don't worry, I wouldn't dream of it," he has a cheeky grin on his face.

I notice the boys right away because of Michael's hair. Since Cal has his back to us and the other boys are on their phones, I come up behind Calum and hug him from behind to scare him.

"CALLYYY!" He jumps and the rest of the boys look up with wide eyes. Calum gasps and turns around to hug me back.

"NATYYYY!" All of us start laughing and we get weird looks from a few people passing by.

My mom greets the boys before receiving a phone call.

"That was work," she sighs. "It's really busy at the office today so I need to go in as soon as possible." She gives me a tight hug and sniffles like she's about to cry.

"Mom," I groan, "if you start crying that'll make me cry."

"I'm sorry sweetheart," she pulls away to wipe her eyes, "I'm just going to miss you a lot."

"I'll miss you too. But I promise to call you everyday."

"And I'll even miss you too, Ashton," she pulls him into a quick hug before putting him at arm's length. "But if you put her in any type of danger I will find you," she narrows her eyes as he nervously chuckles. "Oh! And good luck to the rest of you boys. Keep my Natalie safe. Love you all!" She gives the rest of the boys quick hugs.

We all say we love her too and she walks back towards the way we came. The five of us get through the security check and find Grace, their manager, impatiently pacing back and forth.

"There you guys are! If you were any later we would've missed the flight!" She scolds us as Ashton looks at me and I stick my tongue out at him. "They're just about to start boarding, let's go." She all but runs towards the gate without even waiting for us just as our flight gets called over the loudspeaker to start boarding.

When we get on the plane, my seat has Luke on my right and Ashton on my left.

"Ashhhhh," I groan and poke his side, "I want the window seat," I pout. He puts his hand on his chin as if thinking about it.

"Hmmm, nope. I like the window seat." He smirks at me and I narrow my eyes at him.

"I'm so close to smacking that smirk right off your face," then I turn to Luke. "Luke, can you pleeeeease switch seats with me?" He gives me a confused look.

"But, I have the aisle seat," he confusedly states, "not the window seat."

"Yes, but I would rather not be stuck in the middle of both of you. Quite frankly, Luke, I would rather sit next to you than that thing," I point to Ashton, who sticks his tongue out at me.

Luke laughs and agrees to switch seats, which I thank him for. In the row across from ours, Michael, Calum, and Grace are sitting, with Grace having the window seat.

"See, Ashton?" I point to their row of seats. "They let Grace have the window seat."

"Yeah, well," Michael begins, "she's our manager. I wouldn't want to get her angry." Grace smiles and we laugh.

I hear the pilot's voice over the loudspeaker. "Good morning, folks, this is your pilot speaking..." that's all I hear before I zone out. When I come back into reality all I hear is, "...with that, thank you for your cooperation and enjoy your flight."

I close my eyes and start to drift off as the plane starts down the runway.
