New Friends, New Enemies, New Rivals

It was a beautiful day in Sunny Town. The sun was glowing, the place was lively. Pearl walked through the town to do grocery shopping with Speed- they were talking about previous friends. She didn't know how it got to that topic, but it wasn't a bad one. She suddenly remembered a friend she had from school- Stella, the eevee. She decided to bring her up; Speed was kind and would perhaps keep an eye out for her in case she came back from the trip early.

She told Speed, "Hey Speed! I remember a friend from school. She was called Stella- I'm sure you'd like her. She wore a pink bow on her right ear and was very sweet and kind. If I recall correctly, she had two siblings as well! I wonder what they all evolved into."
Speed seemed somewhat curious. He was looking at her, clearly expecting for her to say something else. When he realised she wasn't going to and was waiting for a response, he replied with, "I'm sure she was nice, and her siblings too! The pink bow thing reminds me of Silvia as an eevee if I'm honest.. Except you said she was kind and Silvia was sometimes annoying and the exact opposite. I still feel sorry about breaking her heart, though.." His ears drooped a little at the thought.
She knew he was still guilty about it. "Don't worry about it. She should have seen it coming anyways," said Pearl.
"No, she shouldn't have. I should have been a better pokemon honestly. I feel like a bit of a jerk for not being very nice to her" Speed responded to her bitterly.

They continued talking and walking. As they came closer to the shop, Pearl saw someone running quite quickly, in a frenzied panic. She quickly tried to warn Speed, but she was too late- they had already bumped into each other. All she could do was look at the two clumsy pokemon. The pokemon who had crashed into Speed was a Sylveon. She wore a pink bandana around her neck, and was very pretty- perhaps even prettier than Silvia, and Silvia was one of the prettiest girls in Sunny Town!
"Sorry," Speed said, clearly worried. "Want a paw getting up?"
The pretty Sylveon replied with "No thanks, but thanks for asking. I'm sorry too," She hauled herself off the ground. Pearl couldn't help but giggle a little- they were both quite similar. She knew Kris would probably get annoyed for her shipping them but she couldn't help it. They were so clumsy and cute together!

However, they had heard her little giggle. Confused, the Sylveon asked "Why did you giggle? Is something funny?" Both she and Speed looked around, yet couldn't see anything funny. This made Pearl giggle again after thinking she was going to get hurt too.
They seemed a bit silly and oblivious. "Nothing," Pearl said whilst giggling. The other two eeveelutions just shrugged and moved on to a different subject.

The Sylveon decided to ask them, "What are your names? We should be friends,". It took Pearl and Speed by surprise. Why did she want to be friends when they hurt each other?

Speed replied "My name's Speed, and her name's Pearl. Nice to meet you! Again, so sorry for hurting you,"
The Sylveon laughed and spoke softly. "It's fine, there's no need to worry. It was my fault anyways. I'm Stella, nice to meet you too! You can call me Star if you want,"
Pearl jumped a bit. Was it really that Stella? She couldn't believe it. And from what she could tell, she remembered Pearl too.

Speed looked at Pearl and asked, "Is this the Stella you were talking about? The one you called Star?"
Pearl looked at her. She seemed to be thinking the same thing. Perhaps it really was her?
Pearl hesitated before speaking. "Do you.. Want to have dinner with us?" She asked.

Stella instantly nodded her head vigorously. Her tail was wagging in excitement. "Yes, please!! If that's ok with you, of course," She said, trying to calm down. "Of course it is!" Speed and Pearl said in unison. As they walked into the shop, Pearl decided to read Stella's mind. What is she thinking? Pearl wondered.

She found out that Stella though Speed was cute and almost perfect to her. His looks, his personality- everything about him, she loved. The perfect lover...
