3rd person POV
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
It was a week into the second semester, and life at the high school was slowly adjusting from the relaxed schedules of summer break back to the usual early mornings and late nights of classes. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary—until that Monday morning.
A sleek black SUV was parked at the school gates, and a girl, young but striking, leaned casually against the massive fence that looked more like a wall. She was dressed head to toe in designer clothes, with an exceptionally rare purse and oversized black sunglasses. Most of the students walking past didn't recognize her, but a few felt a pang of familiarity—particularly one girl.
Seulbi, the self-proclaimed queen of the school, froze when her eyes landed on the figure against the wall. The two girls flanking her also stopped, instinctively following their leader's gaze. The smirk on Seulbi's face widened as she approached, realizing the face was annoyingly familiar.
"Oh my god, Lee Haeun, it's been a while!" Seulbi screeched, voice dripping with fake sweetness.
The girl leaning against the wall turned at the mention of her name but remained silent. Seulbi's dominance wasn't shaken by the other girl's heels or slight height advantage—if anything, it made her feel even more powerful.
Seulbi sized her up, smirk growing. "What's with the show? Trying to get back at me? Didn't think you'd stoop low enough to wear fake designer." She and her minions laughed, drawing the attention of the growing crowd. The girl against the wall only raised an eyebrow, unimpressed and slightly confused.
Testing her limits, Seulbi stepped closer, twisting a lock of the girl's hair between her fingers. "Shorter hair looks good on you, Haeunnie. Maybe shave it off completely—look less like a clown." Her giggle echoed over the stunned onlookers. The girl remained calm, irritation slowly building.
Seulbi noticed the neutral reaction and grew restless. She reached up and snatched the sunglasses from the girl's face, tossing them to the ground. The bulky man inside the black SUV started to get out, but the girl waved a hand, stopping him in place. She wanted to see how the situation unfolded.
Leaning close, Seulbi whispered into the girl's ear, "Maybe if you were more cooperative, I'd be nicer. You don't want what happened before break to happen again, do you?"
That was the final trigger. In seconds, the girl grabbed Seulbi, pressing her against the brick wall with a strong grip on her collar—enough to control, but not enough to suffocate. Shock registered on Seulbi's face as she struggled to escape.
The voice that spoke next was cold, controlled, and utterly alien—it carried Haeun's name but not her essence. "What did you do to my sister?"
Whispers spread among the students. Some thought it was a bluff, others believed the girl was truly Haeun's sibling. But the girl didn't care about rumors—her only goal was to make Seulbi talk.
