Shinsou knew he was going to absolutely regret taking up his dad's offer on that extra credit course. He was just trying to get through collage and major in criminal physiology like any normal student. He wasn't trying to join any of the stupid social groups either, he would have been perfectly fine with not talking to anyone for the rest of his time as a student.
He knew he needed to participate in an extra credit course, but he avoided it until his dad basically forced him into an open spot in the most ridiculous extra credit course out there. A fucking haunted house?
"Stop your whining and get over it, there are many other students there that could probably rub off of you in a good way." His adoptive father, Shota Aizawa slapped his back as they entered the ticket booth. The sun has just started to set, a steady flow of haunted house workers made their way to the dressing rooms to start their shifts.
"So How's this gonna work? " Shinsou huffed into his hands to gain warmth. The weather was getting colder. It got dark quickly now, people started forming in a line in front of the ticket booth, and Shinsou watched as a few professors he recognized paraded around the crowd, greeting people.
Apparently Ms.Midnight couldn't tell the difference between a scary costume, and a seductive one. Shinsou rolled his eyes as a group of teens boys drooled at her, begging for a picture.
"You are going to walk through group 1-A and 1-B's haunted house to determine which one you want to work at for the next three months." Aizawa said as he handed a few tickets to a couple who huddled together for warmth. " You will go after the crowd clears so you will be the last walkthrough of the shift. "
Hitoshi settled down on the fold up chair as he pulled his bag out to work on a project that was given to him earlier that day. They sat in comfortable silence for hours, listening to the loud noises emitted from the houses before there was no longer a flow of guest.
"Alright. Go to 1-B's house first, there's still a line in front of 1-A's." Shinsou nodded.
1-B's house was annoyingly predictable. Set on one theme, which would have been scary in itself if Shinsou was afraid of clowns. A circus wasn't too bad of an idea, they had good prosthetics to help them out. But Shinsou couldn't imagine working with a circus theme. No way.
1-A's house, thank god, was a multi house. It was a lot smarter that there were multiple themes, not only set on one like 1-B. Hitoshi still wasn't scared at all, more interested in the new setting each room. The sound effects crew did a good job following him behind the thin walls, trying to catch him off gaurd. He could actually work in this house.
He passed through the 'Hells Kitchen' themed room. A boy that looked much like Gordon Ramsay yelled at the other chef, his prop knife waving around in his hand as the other boy started a fire in the furnace. Probably to throw the fake pig into it, other boar heads hung on the walls, illuminated in the fires light.
He passed the room without issue, maybe he would be casted as the pig being thrown in the fire.
He entered a dark hallway, fully expecting a jump scare. A jump scare he did get, but he could tell that the stunt of hanging from the ceiling did not go as planned. A blonde boy crashed to the floor in front of him, letting out a pained groan, but staying on the floor.
What the fuck?
Someone laughed at the Blondes poor fortune from the rafters. Hitoshi knelt in front of the other student, lifting his head from the ground to make sure his scull wasn't cracked open or something.
He remained still, probably still trying to act like a dead man. His role as a dead person didn't seem right though, he looked too... Vibrant. Even with all of the makeup and acting Shinsou could tell an annoying goofball when he saw one.
He let the boys head fall back to the floor as he stepped over his body with an amused smirk. He would probably regret his decision to join 1-A's haunted house, but sue him for not wanting to dress as a clown.
"So, I take it you've decided?" Shota asked, waiting outside of the ticket booth, arms crossed.
" 1-A. " He said plainley, met with a nod. Aizawa led him to the locker rooms not too far away from the booth, not even knocking on the door before slinging it open. The room went silent as he marched in, checking on the status of the room.
Shinsou felt his eyes wander to see the blonde who had fallen face first to the concrete floor. He sat down on a bench, a red head talking to him while shoving an ice bag on his bruised face and shoulder.
Apparently his dad noticed this to, because he engaged in a conversation with the group about what happend. Apparently a short kid with dark purple hair pushed him from his spot on the bar. For some reason an unsettling feeling twisted in his gut. The boy stopped past him in a hurry, the others watching him go.
"Shinsou will be replacing Mineta permanently." Aizawa stepped to the side so Shinsou could be seen. The man made a few more announcements before leaving the room, giving him a look on his way out.
Hitoshi decided to approach the blonde kid, who slid on an oversized hoodie before fist bumping the redhead who left the room. "Huh, your not dead."
" Nah, we're dead bros now! " he grinned cheekly, wincing and cupping his cheek at the muscle movement. That ugly feeling reared its head again, he couldn't tell if it was anger twords that purple haired twerp that pushed this boy off of the bars, or if he was just tired of shit and wanted a nap.
Kaminari, the blonde introduced himself as, flung his uninjured arm up around his shoulder, he was barley tall enough to reach him. Kaminari let out a shitty pickup line, cueing an eyeroll from Shinsou. Of course he got stuck with the stupid bright idiot.
