I Loved Him

Chapter Two

As morning came the streets of ZaiWei began to chatter and it's normal loudness came in. Lumi who was very exhausted opened her eyes to see a brown wooden ceiling. She let out a sigh, remembering the experience she had last night. She got up and shook off the memory and got dressed for the day. She wore a lovely skin tight white dress,on her shoulders there were red patterns that continued on the bottom of the short dress, she wore thigh-high socks that were white and had the matching pattern on the sides. She walked out her room and went outside. The beautiful bright sun shined on pond that she owned, the koi fish swam happily. A book in one of her hands as she read quietly down the stone ground. She was heading towards the Lee household, another noble family. 

As she made it to the Lee home she softly knocked on the dark wooden door. She closed her book as she heard footsteps come closer to the door, the door opened and she met face to face with the son of the Lee family, "What brings your here today Lumi" he asked, his crystal blue eyes locked with hers,"I'm here to see your mother" He only nodded as he moved out the way for Lumi to walk into the house. Walking up the stairs of the wooden house she made her way into Mrs Lee's room. 

"Good morning Mrs Lee" She softly spoke, "My mother is far too weak to be able to walk all this way to come see you Mrs Lee, so I am here to fill in as her" Mrs Lee's blue eyes scanned Lumi. "Well since you are here to fill as your mother I suppose I shall tell you what I was going to tell her." Mrs Lee stood up from her chair and walked towards Lumi, "I offer you, marry my son, Eric." Lumi was shocked to hear this, she didn't want to marry into the Lee family even though her and Eric knew each other since childhood he was like a brother to her. "I understand your family is slowly dying so, I will help the Chen family by letting their only daughter marry my only son." Mrs Lee continued. "This will help us both as well, the Chen Family was always known for their smarts and the Lee is known for their strength, if you and my son were to have a child they would be on the top of everything." Mrs Lee smiled, "So, what do you say Miss Chen"  Lumi awkwardly smiled, "I will think about it surely Mrs Lee, Thank you for your time " With those words she left the Lee household. Not knowing what to do Lumi went back to Autumn Breeze Park, the park filled with people smiling and talking. She wasn't supposed to be where the commoners were, but she didn't mind, sometimes she wished that she too was a commoner, to live a simple life as them, not having to go through things as she went through. She let out a sigh and walked towards an empty gazebo. She sat on the wooden bench and opened her book, while reading she heard someone sit across from her, she looked up to see the son of the Lee manor. 

"What are you doing in a commoner area" He asked. He looked around, "They don't deserve to be in our presence." He said insultingly. "Then why are you here then Eric" Lumi said as she closed her book, "You didn't have to bother to come over here" Eric only smiled, "Well I came to see you" He placed his hand over Lumi's but she pulled her hand away. She stood up and grabbed her book, "Well then you got a look at me, I will be on my way then" she quickly left the gazebo. Eric looked at her with hurt in his eyes and only sighed, "Way to go Eric, now she must hate you for that" 

As she walked back home she saw a familiar person. "And who are you?" She asked. The man turned around and she met eyes with him. "What are you doing here Alex" The male smiled hearing that she remembered his name, "I came here to find you Lumi" his smile grew wide.  "How do you know I live here?" she asked. "I saw you this morning" He answered. "Oh okay.." 

'Creepy' she thought to herself. "Well what do you want" she asked as she walked towards the tall male. "I just wanted to see you"  She sighed, "Alex you can't just come here if you feel like it, Nobles won't hesitate to have you hanged." He raised his brow, "You nobles take things to seriously" His honey colored eyes scanned Lumis' body, her perfect figure in the skin tight dress, man she looked beautiful. He shook his head, "Well why don't you come out for a walk with me then Lumi?" He asked, hoping she would agree. Lumi thought for a moment, "I am afraid I can't, I can't be seen walking around with a commoner, it would look bad on the Chen household." She bowed slightly then began to walk away from Alex. The black haired male felt his heart sink, after all this time he looked for her, and she still didn't recognize him.
