The movie was surprisingly sad. Tom was tearing up as he kept holding Matt's hand throughout the whole film while he sat on his lap while Matt didn't react much to it. Matt was lucky that Tom was short and he was tall so he could easily see over him. After the movie was done and Matt calmed Tom down by hugging him and kissing his temple, Tom paused before he gave Matt an adorable innocent little smile. "Let's go on a first date!" "When?" Tom then paused as he thought for a moment before smiling. "How about right now?" Matt paused as he looked at Tom. Tho his face showed no emotion, he was starting to blush a bit before he let out a small smile. "Alright alright, how about to the arcade near the board walk?" Toms 'eyes' lit up as he nodded and grabbed Matt's hand leading him to the hall where they kept there shoes. Tom needed help tying his since despite him almost being 20 he still needed help, but Matt sort of took a liking to tying Toms shoes.

On there way to the board walk, Tom kept telling Matt what couples usually did. Matt was sort of surprised by how innocent the things Tom kept bringing up like gardening classes, baking together, holding hands, drinking a milkshake together etc. Matt just had dirty thoughts on what couples did, but he knew he should wait before he should try and make Tom do the things he thought of. He honestly knew he shouldn't be surprised by how much kid shows Tom still watched and how innocent he was, he also knew he shouldn't be surprised by how many things including pastries or sweet drinks Tom kept bringing up that they should make or eat together. When they finally got to the board walk, Tom got out of the car like a kid on crack as he held Matt's hand. Usually, Matt didn't mind when his friends held his hands so they wouldn't get lost in public or to keep Tord from crying and Edd having a nervous breakdown at getting lost, but this was different since he was with Tom. The moment they got on the board walk, Tom immediately wanted to play one of those shitty claw games for a small doggo plushie with the same sweater on that he was wearing. He told Matt it was destiny that they rescued him from the dreaded claw machine despite Matt spending 10$ just to get the little cute toy out for Tom. But Toms reaction and cute smile and giggles made it worth it.

Usually, Matt never showed much affection out in public. He hasn't really changed and doubt that he would automatically be all lovey dovey because Tom was with him, but Tom picked up his slack by being extra loving towards his new boyfriend. In the end tho, Matt was surprised at how strong Tom was when it came to winning a plushie or candy he wants. Most of the games involved throwing something or the dreaded ski ball game and Tom ended up winning something from each game, much to the jealousy of the little kids. He ended up winning a bunch of plushies all ranging from chubby unicorns to slim raccoons and they all had an accessory on them that was Wait her sewed on, or Tom put them there himself. When Matt and Tom finally stopped to break and they were sitting on the beach benches, Matt came back with drinks from the vending machine, not surprised that Tom wanted candy cola and raspberry crush.
"Are you sure you can see from under all that?"
Tom gathered so many plushies from his plushie collection that they made a giant pile in front of him. Matt even had to carry a few but Tom didn't want both of his hands to get full since he still wanted to hold at least 1. As soon as Tom got the soda, he dropped all the plushies onto the sand as he cracked open the candy cola. "Yeah, I can see just fine!" Matt could only smirk at that remark. Thankfully, they were sitting on the flat area of the beach so none of the plushies rolled down it into the embrace of ocean, but Tom just would've shrugged it off and said that he wouldn't mind the fish having them.
It was also a good thing that those games and claw machines only costed 25 cents or a dollar because holy shit, Matt probably would've gone bankrupt at the half minute mark, but luckily he didn't and even more luckier, Tom remembered to bring a small yellow pouch that a child would wear that had his wallet in it. But, Tom didn't want the plushies to be lonely and to be honest, Matt sort of thought that was cute.

"Y'know... This was the last place my dad took me before he left."
Tom paused as he looked at Matt from chugging his candy cola and slowly pulled the can away from his lips. Matt usually never brought up his family like Tom and Edd and sometimes Tord, so this surprised him a bit. He moved a bit closer to Matt so Matt could wrap an arm around him before he looked up at Matt with cute innocent 'eyes'. "Really?"
"Yeah. Apparently it was like a... strange goodbye gift. He never treated me like an actual kid until that day. Probably one of the nicest memories I have with him in it despite us not really winning anything. We still had some sort of fun."
Tom smiled as he opened his last beverage that was as equally sweeter then the last one, and took a sip. "Y'know... Sometimes I wish we would trade places. You barely bring up your past and when you do it's never happy when we're not in it."
"No. No, don't say that. I'm actually happy that it was me and not any of you guys, I can handle it, you would just breakdown in tears on day 1." Tom let out a sort of cute pouting face where he puffed out his cheeks and frowned. Matt always thought this was adorable and he barely seen it since Tom never got like this usually. Matt just took this as an opportunity and took both of his hands to squish Toms cheeks and to his surprise they were really soft and expandable. He shouldn't have been surprised tho due to how much candy and food Tom could stuff in his face and only come out looking like a chipmunk. He probably burns all those calories by his sugar rushes when he runs all over the place and talks really fast.

Tom just couldn't help but let out a giggle as Matt did this. His hands were gentle, yet hard. It didn't really hurt tho. Matt then leaned down to kiss Toms forehead making Tom blush before he smiled. "How about we go home? I say we had our fill so far." Tom nodded before he picked up all the now sandy stuffed animals. Matt just decided he would wash them when they get home. Luckily, Tom had enough sense to shove them in the back seat since Matt said they wouldn't be lonely since they have each other.

On the drive home they held hands as well.
