She spend a morning without even taking a bath, and rushes to her working place. She is almost late.

"Morning Mr. Depp" She said.

Her boss look up to her, noticing fresh bruises and blood drying on the corner of the lips.

"Good Lord, Karen what happen to you?" He rushes to her, 

She was limping on the side of the door, when Mr. Depp came and catches her by his arms.

"Mr. Depp, sorry I'm late" Karen blink her eyes try to collect her conciousness. 

"Karen, it's okay, Would you tell me what happen?" he said.

"I am okay Mr.Depp" 

"No, Karen, I am your boss and i need to know who beat you up" He said.

"I just got robbed" She said, making up story that somehow make sense.

"Robbed?"

"Yes, they beat me up, and took my wallet, and I got nothing left" she said.

"You know what?" Mr. Depp begin talking,
"A few days ago i just got robbed too, but luckily they didn't beat me up like this" He said.
"Damn people are cruel these days" He said, putting his hands into a fist, his tattoo were peeking out of his sleeve as he do,

He sigh, imagining what kind of person would beat up a tiny, young and sweet girl like Karen.

"Dear, Karen" He said, shaking his head in frustration.
"I am sorry" He said.

She nodded, open her mouth trying to say something, "I was going to ask if i can, at least get my daily salary instead of monthly salary? all of my savings are gone now" She said 

In fact, she don't even have a wallet. Her mom took it from her, She don't give it back, She said everything Karen own belong to the family, including her wallet and the money inside it.

"You can, You absolutely can" He said.

"But now you stay here, I am going to take care of those bruises" He said.

"No, it's okay Mr. Depp, It'll be gone soon, " she said.

"No, you listen to me, stay here, i am going to take care of it" He insist,
"You don't want people to come here looking confused af as if i am beating my employee up , right?" He said.

She laugh. Damn, It's been so long since the last time she laugh. She don't even remember when.

"Okay Mr. Depp I dont know how to thank you" She said, her gaze soften, her eyes hold tears that wont be able to come out. She really appreciate him, she really thankful of his presence.

He came back holding a bucket of ice cube with a small towel, along with medicine box on his other hand.

"This might hurt abit" He said.

He wipe her bruise with alcohol, as she bit her lip at the pain rushing through her body. It was painful, but he make her feel better.

He put the ice cube in the small towel and put it on the bruises on her face. "I am sorry if i'm hurting you, this will be over soon I promise" He smiled.

She pay attention on every detail of his face. He is perfect, soft, mysterious, and undoubtedly handsome.

"You don't look too fresh, Karen, It must have been a hard day for you" He said looking at her.

Infact, she haven't showered at all,

"You can take a shower upstair, its on the left, I can give you a tshirt that you can change to after" he said.

"But sir i have to work" She said.

"I can take care of it, you can take a shower upstair" he said.

"Upstair?" Karen try to see a small door at the end of the stair .

"Yes, I live upstair"

"So this is your house?" Karen said, widening her eyes.

"No, I have another house but i enjoy it here, sometimes i am too lazy to go home so i build a house upstair" He said.

"Ohh" She nodded in enthusiasm.

"There is a clean towel on the drawer inside the bathroom" He said.

"Okay" She said and walking upstair.

"And Karen?" he called her.

She turn her head around,

"You know Karen, if you are in danger, you can come here, You are safe with me" He said.
