I stood up from my seat, walking to the door. Holding the book 'Valerie' in my left hand and opening the door with my right. I looked out setting my eyes on a very attractive guy stood at my door step.

"Can I help you?" Confusion rolling off my tongue. I'd never seen him before so I could only imagine why he was knocking on my door.

"Umm, by any chance do you know where Bernie Smith is?" The name was very familiar. He was the kind old man who had sold me this house.

"Uh, yeah-well no. I know who it is your talking about, but I actually moved into this house a few weeks ago, so I'm pretty sure he moved out." He nodded, and was about to walk away until his eyes caught the attention of the book in my hand.

"Valerie.." He mumbled almost reminiscing.
"Yeah, you've read it?" He nodded, then shook his head.

"I-uh...I wrote it." My eyes went wide, Valerie was one of my favorite books. I had discovered it in my local library three years ago.

It was about a girl and a guy helplessly in love, and throughout all of the challenges they faced in their relationship, they stood by each other stuck like glue.

I envied the love they had for each other, for all of my romances were sad tales.

"No way! You're serious?" I questioned. He lightly laughed and nodded. "That's crazy I love this book!" I smiled.

"I can tell. Ethan Dolan." I placed my small hand into his big one and smiled. "Ella, nice to meet you."
