Promise? (Jimin x reader)

Chapter 30

The concert goes surprisingly well. It seemed as if they were never fighting in the first place. I can't tell if they're slowly all coming together again, or if they're just really good at acting.

We get back to the hotel around 11:30. The guys go to pack, so i'm in my room by myself. Jee came and packed up her stuff last night when we were with Namjoon. That must be how Yoongi got in.

As i'm putting things in my suitcases, my phone starts ringing. I knew it was my mom since I set her ringtone to "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC. That's a long story on why I chose that song.

I answer the facetime call and I see her smiling face. "Hi! Hows it going on tour? Going well, I assume?" she asks interested in what I have to say.

I think of the fight between everyone and how we're all mad at each other. I don't want her to worry about me and Jee, so I should leave that part out of it. "It's going okay. We're leaving for Paris tomorrow, so it should be fun."

She smiles at me and sets the camera down on the table. "We're so proud of you, honey."

Hold up. Last time I checked, I live with only my mother and my pet children. Who is she talking about? "We?" I ask concerned.

She moves over a bit and a man in an Army suit comes into view.

"Dad!" I cover my mouth in shock as tears weld up in my eyes. "You're back!"

He nods and moves closer to the camera. "I missed you and your mom so much since I left! Now look at you, all grown up and on tour with your favorite band!"

Now we all start crying. My dad has been at war for two years without a visit back home. Last time I saw him, I was a Sophmore and I had braces and chubby cheeks. He looked so surprised when he saw me since i've changed so much.

"Oh, we also have one more surprise for you!" my mom says walking away. What could it be? I try thinking of things that I want, but I realize that I already have it all. That's insane, I don't deserve all of this.. at all.

My mom comes back with an extra person on the screen. There is no way this is happening.

"What's up little sis!"

My tears become uncontrollable. "How are you both here right now?" I ask laughing through my sobs. My brother, Felipe, has been away at college in California for the past 6 years getting his Doctoral degree. I forgot that he graduated this year.

"How are you in the UK with the biggest band in the world right now? Please tell me the whole story."

"I guess it all started with a coincidence." I shrug indicating that I have no idea how or why it happened. "But it's one of the best things that's ever happened to me."

He nods and smiles. "I'm so happy for you baby sis!"

Jimin walks into the room. He looks confused at first, but then smiles once he realizes that it's my family in the phone.

"Is somebody there with you, Y/N?" my mom asks.

I look at Jimin and he smiles coming into the camera view.

"Hello, I'm Jimin. It's nice to finally meet you all!" he says with his adorable eye smile. Oh shit, he's meeting my family. How did I just realize this?

"Hello, Jimin! I'm Katherine, Y/N's mother, this is Mateo, Y/N's father, and this is Felipe, her older brother."

"It's nice to meet you too man," Felipe says as they both virtually bump fists. I look at them both weirdly.

"Y'all are nerds."

"No," Felipe disagrees, "just a start of a brotherly friendship."

"Yessir," Jimin says. Oh no. I mentally facepalm myself. But hey, at least they don't hate each other. It'll actually be good if they're friends.

"Hey I'm gonna get some coffee, you want some?" Jimin asks. I shake my head no and he leaves.

"So," Felipe says moving closer to the screen. "Are you guys a thing yet?"

I choke on my own spit as he says this. "Where did this question come from?" I ask.

"What guy just walks into your room like it's their own unless y'all are dating?"

Hm. That's actually true. I hesitate for a bit not knowing how to respond to that and he laughs at me. "I was right! I knew it! Do you hear that padres? Your daughter is dating a BTS band member!"

"No i'm not, chill out. Well I mean, not yet at least.." I say that last part quieter, but they all seemed to have heard me.

"Oooh, does he like you?? Have you guys kissed yet?!"

Great, an awkward conversation with the fam, just how I like it. "Adios familia," I say waving to them and ending the video call. I seem to do that a lot in awkward situations.

Jimin comes back with two coffees. "I know you said you didn't want one, but I got you one anyway."

I take the coffee and smile at him. "Thank you kind sir," I say in a British accent. He seems to find that funny.

"You're so cute," he says deepening his voice and almost whispering it. That makes me shiver, and I don't know why!

The rest of the night have been just me laying my head on Jimin's chest as he runs his fingers through my hair. We try falling asleep, but we can't.

I look over at the time on the alarm clock and it reads 1:07 am. Sighing, I set my head back on his chest.

"Remember that night we were in New York and you called me because you couldn't sleep?" Jimin asks me.

"Yeah, you put me to sleep by talking to me."

"That's right," he says pausing. "What if I sang you to sleep?"

This has to be the most adorable thing he has asked me. Before I dated, I have always wanted my future boyfriend to sing to me. Obviously, Pierre couldn't. If he could, he wouldn't have done it anyways. He wouldn't do shit for me.

"Yeah, that sounds nice."

"What song do you want me to sing to you?" he asks.

I shrug. "Whatever song you want."

He thinks for a bit, but then says, "Got it." He starts singing his song "Promise" softly, which makes my heart leap out of my chest. This song is so sweet, i'm happy he chose this one. Instantly, thanks to his calming angel voice, I start dozing off into a peaceful sleep.

By the time he sings the last word, I am already half asleep. He kisses my forehead once he sees that my eyes are closed and intertwines our pinkies, just like in the song. And we sleep just like that.

i think this chapter ended off so cuteee! sorry this one took some time, e-learning sucks 😕 but on the bright side, we get out of quarantine in 3 days 🥳🥳 hopefully corona is already slowing down, we don't need more deaths 😓 please stay safe! even though it's hard, still try not to be around people as much because corona is still out there, we can't chance it. okieee i'm done talking about cOrOnA. it's amazing how much this story has grown like it's so unbelievable! you all are so amazing and thank you if you've read this far!! 💗💗 also, who watched bang bang con? i have and it's amazinggg! it's my first concert hehe and sadly probably my only 😢 i had a blast though and i can't wait for the second part :)
