"The two of you will travel to the Kingdom of Longing and visit the queen mother on my behalf," Thanatos spoke in a firm and clear tone. Her dark gray eyes glanced at her workers with a sharpness that could cut the sea and shatter the sky. The distinctive flickers of scattered Gold, White, Ocean Blue, and Light Green within Thanatos' eyes illuminated as she observed the two who sat across from her in her office. Their body language was calm and steady as she gave them what their next project would be. It would be dangerous if they made a wrong move, and they knew well of this consequence. "This mission includes assessing the kingdom and its people if they are an ally of the Eternal Order but under the impression of creating a partnership not to draw suspensions." She counted in further detail.
There were far too many kingdoms and realms correspondingly involved with the likes of the vile group that was the Eternal Order. A list has already been long since created of who is and isn't involved. It needed to be further added before Thanatos could make her move against the group. It was always better to have an idea than going ahead blind that her enemy may have more allies and resources than she would assume without adequately considering. "You will report back what you perceive may be out of the ordinary or what can confirm the rumors."
The dark-skinned woman who sat beside a melanin-skinned man processed Thanatos' words with a mindful expression upon her youth face. "I understand the risk of this mission. We cannot underestimate this kingdom when they are unknown of how they may side with." She remarked that her voice was light and soft, almost angelic in a melody tune, but an apparent edge of harshness was clear in her voice. Years of battle experience had taught her enemies could easily disguise themselves to be your friends and allies when in reality, they prayed upon your downfall. Enemies looked at every corner and until proven otherwise, no one could be trusted.
The Entity of Death hummed, her intertwined fingers remaining gracefully placed on her desk, allowing others to see the shine of jewels across her fingers and bracelet. Predominantly, her oathed sacred ring was given by her beloved husband before his passing. "Yes, Nomiki, you are correct. This will be no easy task." She glanced at the two briefly. "You are putting your lives on the line stepping into this Kingdom's territory, and I want you to understand before you agree." Despite the two having previously agreed to handle these categories of missions, Thanatos persisted in being honest and giving choices if they wanted to proceed or not as they already did plenty of work as Angels of Death.
"Thank you for giving us the choice but we want to take on this mission. It's another kingdom to consider." Denarius spoke up this time, his voice was gravelly and deep but was a pleasant and calm voice. "When are we expected to be there?" This time he questioned, his back straight as he crossed his arms over his striped red and white shirt.
Thanatos cleared her voice. "You will be expected there before the end of next week but the journey is long and gruesome so I would recommend heading there by the weekend to get a better start." She recommended it firmly. It was well known that the Kingdom of Longing was at least a good six universes away from where they were currently and traveling through those other universes would not be a walk in the park.
