The Devil's Light

I was an Angel,
Fell from the sky.
Thrown away in this world of hatred,
Left to die or survive.

With growing vengeance in my heart,
Jumped in the endless well.
Found my way to underworld,
Made my own hell.

For centuries I lived in solitude,
Darkness in Heart and Mind.
Living the life of chaos,
With chains to keep me bind.

One day I found a little flower,
Fragile as a sunshine's ray.
Though it looked so small and weak,
It brightened up my heart as a Day.

For once I felt the soothing warmth,
In this cold heart of mine.
For once I felt the cool breeze,
Like relaxing smell of wood and pine.

I repelled her with hell fire,
With darkness I tried to scare.
Still she crossed the bridge of fire,
To heal me, without even a care.

Oh how I fell again in my life,
But bearing no regret.
For she became my sunshine,
Removing darkness from my fate.

She was the morning to my night,
So I called her my Sunshine.
Just having her besides me,
Everything just felt so fine.

We laughed we cried we lived together,
And walked together the vastness.
Never had there been a bond so strong,
Between the light and the Darkness.

But nature has its order,
And it can never be defied.
My Darkness slowly ate her away,
Stopping at nothing that I tried.

My anger raised the Hell fire,
Chiping away her heart.
My anger My Darkness,
Slowly broke her apart.

As my flower faded away,
Tears of blood escaped my eyes.
Once again the hell shook,
Hearing the Devil's Cry.

I walk back to Darkness,
On its throne I alight.
With shine emerging from my heart,
My broken flowers Light.

I'll control my darkness now,
Keeping your light shine.
I'll live the life you taught me love,
My Angel, My Sunshine.
