Tusco's Point of View
I licked my lips after taking a sip from the crystal glass filled with Jack that I had in my hand. The music from the rooftop party vibrated in the air like bees buzzing in the calmness of summer. Tonight was hard for me, my soul felt like it was reaching for something, anything to make me feel better..I guess maybe I'll find happiness at the end of the bottle, and if I don't. It will sure make me numb enough to feel nothing at all.
Maverick hates me.
I swallowed and then placed my glass down onto the surface of the ground beside me. My feet dangled off the edge of the pool into the water, I wore one of Maverick's tracksuit pants, the white nike one that he had borrowed me a while ago. I had the pipes rolled up mid calf, I stared down at my legs to notice that one was a little higher than the other.
The water kissed my feet as it rested fully in its comfort. The water was the only thing giving me that,
Comfort.
I leaned back and had my hands press against the ground to hold me up while I watched them,
drunk people.
The music causing bodies to sway and dance as the colored lights hit in every direction, my hair had began to dance too from the light breeze that had asked for its hand to waltz.
I saw Austin talking to Violet but she didn't seem the lease bit interested in whatever he had to say.
Her body language was screaming from him to get away from her.
I'll give it to her though, Austin was flirty rich and this was his party. Besides his money he was somewhat good looking and in high school he was the popular guy that everyone wanted to sleep with, I would know...he was one of my closest friends...and she was,
Ignoring him. Money and good looks didn't seem to mean much to her and that was impressive and commendable, especially for girls in New York, out here it's all about how much money you make and who could elevate you on the social scale.
He brushed his hand through his curly blonde hair nervously as she smiled thinly before saying something that looked as if it had offended him, and then she stormed off leaving a swish of long blonde hair behind her.
Yeah, girls in New York are very different, they're ruthless and cutthroat. I don't expect anything less though, women go through a lot by just being women, they fight battles they shouldn't have to and it's unfortunate that men would rather fight them instead of fight for them, not that they need it,
And New York women definitely didn't, but it would be nice to see more men stand up for them. Just because they could do it themselves didn't mean they had to.
I inhaled and remembered that I had no more cigarettes left and that was a ducking tragedy.
Why the hell am I here.
I smirked shaking my head as I picked up my glass again, I stuck my index finger into it to turn the solid ice into liquid with my powers because honestly this drink was a little too strong, I had to water it down if I wanted to enjoy the taste,
sure I wanted to drown my sorrows but I at least wanted it to taste good.
I gulped it down and then placed the empty glass back where I had found it.
The DJ switched up his set as the guests went wild for his laters remix, almost everyone had dropped what they were doing to gather before his table like ants to sugar as they danced to a techno house remix of Nixon's new song.
I rolled my eyes in jest feeling the alcohol settle in my stomach. Whatever the fuck I do, I just can't seem to escape my brothers.
I'm wearing Maverick's shit, I'm hearing Nixon's music, it would be ironic if Kenzo called right now.

Paranormal"Don't go inside! Stay!" She said, holding her hand up to show me her palm and then I leaned over the balcony, resting my forearms on the railing to hold me up. I rolled my eyes as I exhaled deeply. Apparently I was a dog now. But fuck, It's her...
