On my sallaya I sat, holding my tasbah. Thinking of a solution for myself, and then it crossed my mind. How can I be foolish enough to think that I myself can bring a solution to myself, when am here facing my lord ,who knows what's best for me. I am a human after all, my fate has been decided right before I was born,weather I like the incoming situations or not, I will have to follow the path chosen for me.
I stood up,performed a two raka'ats nafila and prayed to god in my last sujud.
"Oh ya rabb, I know nothing, without you am just like an empty bottle with no hopes of getting filled ever again, Astaghfirullah I turn to you ya Allah, you know what you have chosen for me and which is the best, so help me ya Allah".
So I prayed: To my amazement I found relief to all my problems.
I stood up folded my praying mat, and dropped it by my side.
Reaching the compound ,I met Inna and grandma counting goro (kolanut) and some sweets.
" Goro kuma" I murmured:
I sat down and greeted them
"Inakwana" Lafya lau was inna's reply
Grandma turned to me and said:
"Today you have made me happy, since you have decided to do as I have asked you kulu"
I smiled ,not because I was happy with what am going to do, but for the first time I feel happy that my grandmother is pleased with me.
"Don't worry fah!!! Ai he is a very fine man,you will like him I promise"
She added afterwards:
I nodded my head in reply of an "Okay"
Inna turned to me with a nylon of goro and sweets: she said
"Karbi (Take) I want you to take this to dije's mother ,tell her its from me for your "sa rana".

My heart skipped a beat, trembling I took it from her. Went to my room and took out my hijab, all through the way to dije's house I was just thinking.
" uhmm, now if I marry him,I barely know who he is,what if he is nothing like me, what if he is not as good looking as grandma said he is!!? "
I paused and said to myself, "Hauwa Kulu, you have left everything to god, just drive along and see what he has installed for you".

Just then some group of kids came by running around the streets,hmmm I sighed " Those days that me and and dije use to do that!!! Funny how times have changed "
" Assalamu.alaikum" I said upon entering dije's compound
"Ah ah ah ah.....sannu marhaba (welcome) kulu how are you doing" dije's mother had asked after offering me a place to sit down!!
"Lafya lau mama,inakwanan mu" (I am fine mama,good morning)
" lafya kalau Alhamdulillah" she replied me, and layer added:
"Aikuwa dije is not around, I sent her to the market to get some vegetables for me".
" Ai it was inna that sent me, she asked me to give you this" placing the nylon bag on her hand,
She stood up and rejoiced screaming the traditional "Buds" chant's
"Ayyiririririri...." Came towards me and hugged me "Ahhh kulu Allah ya Sanya Alkhairi,I wish you a happy married life in advance"
"Ameen mama,thank you" I replied as I stood up, wearing my Slipper's,
"Tell her I will come by later today please" she added
"Okay toh mama sai anjima" I replied back and went out!!!
On my way home,I decided to change my route and go to the market and find dije, to speak to her!!!
I went along the road that lead to the small market area,passing through the Riverside, there I bumped into malam Usman, who was walking by as well.....
"Hmmm Hauwa, where have you been all this days" he asked curiously with his dashing smile as always looking into one's eyes.
"I am fine sir,I wallahi I have been home all this while.. I replied:
Lifting his right eyebrow he said : " oh wow,that's nice...lol he laughed a little "
Reaching a small rock and seating down,he offered me a place to sit as well, at first I wanted to,but remembering I will be getting married anytime soon it made me say:
"No sir sorry,I am actually on my way to see dije right now" I replied ....
Seemed he looked shocked at my reply for a reason I don't know....
"Why can't you find time for someone you love!!? He asked
Super shocked I was!!! I turned around quickly looking at him with my eyes almost bulging out!!! Love?? Whats he even saying?, I asked myself
He added again when he received no reply!! " you don't love me again"?
"No" I said that without even realising!! I mean I never did" sir .
"How can you even think something like that can ever happens between us!!!"
Shocked he stood still looking into my eyes, he came closer held my shoulders which made me very uncomfortable, and angrily said:
"Why!!? We are both humans after all,what's wrong with us having a relationship? He asked repeatedly!
" I am getting married"
What I said shocked him,he slowly took His hand away off my shoulders, I noticed a little drop of tear, which came out of his ethereal eye....it rolled down through the side of his nose,went down lips side and dropped on his chest!!!
A word more he didn't utter!! Instead walked away!!!
I felt weak for a reason I never knew why!! I turned around, and went home not wanting to talk to dije again after what has happened!!!
