"Excuse me? What do you mean you won't pay for the damage? We were both in this accident!"

"I'm sorry, Ma'am. I'm busy and I have a meeting with a significant client."

"Does it look like I care? Would you have cared more if this was a more serious acci-"

buzz, buzz, buzz

"Look, I'm so sorry but my assistant is calling and my patience is running thin. Give me your phone number and my assistant will work it out. Bye."

"Oh, hello! Bhai, this is not something you walk away from, ok?!"

"AND CUT!"

"Shraddha, I'm gonna need you to look more enraged in this scene, ok?" Mukesh Kumar sat atop his director chair, guiding the two talented actors to perfectly glide between emotions and movements."Your character has worked hard for that car, she slaved her butt off. You need to be fuming."

"Ok, Sir. Noted. Another take?" Shraddha questioned, adorned in a yellow sundress, her body wrinkled due to the Mumbai heat. She shook her head and readied herself for another take.

Shootings for their movie had started sooner than expected. Varun and Shraddha had been called in at 7 am and have been on the roll since. The past few hours have been hectic with make-up and rehearsals. The crew's compatibility and friendliness did not help quicken the process as memories of laughter and inside joke were building up. Varun and Shraddha, while being professional and thoroughly involved in their characters, couldn't help distracting each other with hysteria-inducing jest throughout the hazy day. Their crew-members have yet to adapt to their easy-going nature and immense geniality when they were around each other.

After a dozen takes, Mukesh signaled for a lunch break, much to everyone's relief. Everyone scrambled towards the cafeteria or outside for their much needed food. Varun and Shraddha returned to their trailers to preserve their dressing and eat in a cooler environment. They decided to reside in one trailer to enjoy company. The two drained actors collapsed onto the inbuilt sofa and reposed in the cool room.

"You two look like hell. Damn this hot day, man," Shraddha Naik, one of Shraddha's best friends and make-up artist, stomped into the cool trailer, reflecting everyone's despise of the loathsome weather. "I swear I just saw the tyre of some vehicle melting into the road."

"I feel like I was melting into the road. The heat was radiating through my sandal when I was doing my takes. Ugh!" Shraddha forcefully threw her arm over her eyes, her melodramatic display earning a snicker from the equally agitated Varun.

More affable friends showed up in the trailer, seeking the tranquility of the blessed AC. Everyone shifted into a comfortable conversation while munching happily into their lunch.

Remember how I said small things cultivate into bigger things? The butterfly effect, it's called. Two oblivious friends engaging into a forgettable conversation but the tokens of joy and belly laughter will forever be absorbed within the depths of their memories. They won't remember how they instinctively reach for the other's hand to grasp and hold for balance as they break into hysteria. They won't have any recollection of how everyone in the room knew, fully aware of their transparent closeness. They won't recall how they inched closer and closer until they were joined with magnets by the hip, by the arm, by the head. They won't.
