"oh my gosh she is the sweetest" said selena as she took a look at baby Elouise who was fast asleep in her stroller. "yeah well I am very lucky" I said as I smiled at her.

"so is she, she has a great mom and dad" she looked back at me and smiled. "well" i said but stopped not knowing what to say. She sighs and looks at me sympathetically, "listen, I've been meaning to ask, you don't have to answer but is everything okay between you and Kelsey?" I knew this question was coming and I also knew the answer.

"no, nothings okay with Kelsey. I didn't want to get back together with her. Yes I missed her and love her just not that much. The way she hurt me like she never loved me, trusted me is not something i'll be able to just forget. The night she came over to talk I thought that was gonna be a goodbye, yeah the sex I guess I made a mistake but I didn't think she would get pregnant. She's not ready to be a mother, i wasn't ready to be a father but there's no other chance so i'm gonna give it 110%. Her on the other hand, she's not taking this seriously. I-I don't know what to do" my voice breaks as I look away not wanting Selena to see as my eyes start to glisten and a single tear drop escapes running down my cheek.

"Brad, the whole world can see she's not ready. She didn't want the baby in the first place but it happened and I know you're happy about because look at her" she says and looks at Elouise. "She's amazing, you have to take control and give her the life she deserves and now is the time to decide whether you are gonna have Kelsey help or you'll do it on your own." she looks back at me and slightly and raises an eyebrow. She's right, I'm happy Eloise was born and I'll do everything in my power to give her everything.

"Will you help me?" I look at Eloise for second than back to Selena. She suddenly bursts out in a chuckle but quickly stops herself to make sure she doesn't wake Eloise up. "Me? What are you talking about"
"Selena you are so great with kids, i'm leaving Kelsey and i'm taking Eloise Anne. You are the one who's helped me from the beginning from buying a stroller to clothes and baby bottles and everything. I need you." I say while looking at her, my eyes basically begging for to say yes. "Brad, she's special. I would love to help" she smiles at me and leans in for a hug. I return the gesture which ends up being longer than we both anticipated. I take this time to whisper a quick thank you in her ear. Goosebumps start to rise on her skin so she quickly pulls back and tucks a piece of hair behind her ear.

I look and smile at her, then look at Eloise and realize that everything's gonna be okay.
