Third person POV
In JNPR's dorm.
Ren is polishing his weapons. While Nora bounces on her bed and Phyrra stares glumly out the window.
Nora:Where is Jaune. Doesn't he know we have a field trip tommorow and we need our beauty sleep
As she says this she jumps up and falls down on the bed.
Phyrra:I'm sure our leader knows exactly what he is doing.
Nora and Ren look at her worriedly.
Meanwhile,in the hallway Jaune was watching through a crack in the door. He closes it and turns around and sees Ruby.
Ruby:Hi Jaune. Did you get locked out again.
Jaune:No,got my scroll right here.
He holds up his scroll for here to see.
Jaune:I messed up. I did something I shouldn't have. And now Cardin's got me on a leash and Phyrra hates me. I'm beginning to think coming here was a bad idea.
As he says this he leans against the door and slides down until he is sitting.
Jaune:I'm a failure.
Ruby: Nope
Jaune:No
Ruby:Nope.
Jaune:You know your not the easiest person to talk to about this stuff.
Ruby sits down beside him.
Ruby:Nope. You may have been a failure before you came to beacon. You might have even been a failure on the first day. But you can't be a failure now. You know why?
Jaune:Because.
Ruby:Because it's not just about you anymore. Your a leader now.
Jaune:thanks Ruby.
Ruby:Your welcome. Good night Jaune!
Jaune:Night Ruby.
Jaune gets ready to walk into his dorm until his scroll goes off. He looks at it and sees it's Cardin.
Cardin:(On Scroll)Hey it's your buddy Cardin. I know your probably busy but I was wondering if you could go out and collect me a bunch of rapier wasps. And try to get ones with really big stingers.
Jaune walks off instead of entering his dorm.
F/n POV
I was listening to the whole conversation from around the corner. After Jaune leaves I head back to my dorm.
F/n:So what would you possibly need rapier wasps for Cardin. And a better question is why would Jaune listen to him. I guess I'll just have to find out for myself.
Timeskip
Goodwitch:Yes students the Forest of Forever Fall is beautiful. But we are not here to sight see. Proffesor peaches gas asked all of you to gather red sap from the trees deep in the forest.
She holds up a jar filled with red sap.
Goodwitch:I an here to make sure none of you die while doing so. Mr Fall also volunteered to assist with supervision today.
Ruby stares at me surprised. I just wink at her.
F/n:This forest is filled with grimm. So stay with your team at all times.
As the students move out to collect their red sap,I watch as Jaune is pulled away by Cardin.
F/n:What are you up to.
