X-Men: Project 23

Part Four; Dog Tags & Kids

Laura's POV.

I woke up earlier than everyone else, but this time it wasn't because of a nightmare. It was because of something else.

My growling stomach.

Yes, I had eaten dinner and desert, but I couldn't deny my hunger.

I creep down the big staircase of the mansion. I hear a TV going in the living room but simply ignore it and head for the kitchen. As I enter and turn on the light, something extremely shiny catches my eye. I look over at the shiny thing and see that they're dog tags.

Dog tags are used to symbolize when a person was in the army.

I pick them up and see that one side says "Wolverine" and what the other side says shocks me. The second side says "Logan" on it. "Mr. Logan?" I whisper.

Suddenly, I hear footsteps, so I shove the tags into my PJ pants pocket before turning around.

"Yeah so I told the group," I hear the male voice before two guys walk in, "I told them... uh... who are you?" the first guy asks me.

I stand there silently, "Uh...." I say lowly.

"INTRUDER!" the second guy screams. I gasp and run out of the room. "INTRUDER!"

As I'm running, a girl comes through the wall causing me to gasp and run into her. She goes right through me, I fall, and I hear people running to us. "I got her." I hear the girl I went through yell.

I roll over, and look up to see a bunch of students looking down at me. But the awkward moment doesn't last long, not since Mr. Logan showed up.

"What're you kids doing?!" Mr. Logan yells out. "Get off of her!"

Everyone scatters and Mr. Logan helps me up. "Why are you helping an intruder?" the first guy who saw me asks Mr. Logan rudely.

Mr. Logan growls, "Julian! I swear kid I'm going to sink my claws into you one of these days!" Mr. Logan yells. "She's NOT an intruder! She's a new student and her name is Laura! Now, everyone go to your rooms!"

Mr. Logan walks me out and I knew that I was going to have trouble with the students.
