AN: Had to use a website for the pickup lines: https://pickuplineninja.com/flower-pick-up-lines/

Michael smiled as he tended to the potted flowers in his shop, his sleeves rolled up to show the purple Aster and white Gladiolus tattoo on his arm. It had been weeks since he had gotten the tattoo finished, though he hadn't seen the ginger again. The next time he had gone to the tattoo parlor, another guy was there and he had finished the tattoo for him.

Honestly, he was a little upset at that, mostly because he had wanted to see the flirty ginger again. He didn't know, the ginger had just caught his attention and now he couldn't get him off his mind. It wasn't fair. But then again, when was life ever fair.

Hearing the bell ring at the front of his shop, he wiped his gloved hands on his apron and turned, only to be surprised as he was met with the sight of the very ginger he had been thinking of. He didn't mean to stare but he quickly stopped when he noticed the other smirking at him.

"Heya cutie~" He felt a blush rise to his cheeks but he quickly shook it off as he slipped his gloves off and stuck them in his pocket. "Hello, is there something I can do for you?"

"Well you could always give me your number~" The blush on his face grew darker even as he said. "Sorry, I don't give out my number to random customers, anything else?"

The ginger pouted before walking closer to him and saying. "Aww, come on, my little Aster, roses are red, violets are blue, please be mine, won't you?"

Michael snorted at that before saying. "Wow, you really think the oldest flower pick-up line in the book is going to work on me? Try a little harder than that, won't you?"

"... So you want me to try again?" Ritchie asked with a grin.

Michael snorted again before he said. "Come back tomorrow and we'll see."

The ginger grinned before he darted forward, giving Michael a kiss to the cheek before skipping out. Michael's face was bright red as he lifted his hand to his cheek. He stood there for several minutes before he managed to shake himself out of it and got back to tending to his flowers.

And so started a daily cycle of Ritchie coming into his flower shop just to tell him another pick-up line.

"If you were a flower in my garden, I would pick you."

"With a smile like yours, I could kiss your two lips forever."

"I love you a lily bit more every day."

"A flower cannot blossom without sunshine, I cannot survive without your love."

"I would hate to see you go but I love watching your leaves."

"If you held up a rose in front of a mirror, you would see of the two most beautiful things in the world."

"If I got a flower for every time I think of you, I would forever walk in an endless garden."

Each pick up line made Michael blush even more. At this point, whenever he even thought of Ritchie, a blush would rise to his face. Course, he didn't admit this to the other. Not because he was tsundere (which he denied every time David brought it up after he and Brandon found out) but because he didn't want to be easy either. He was gonna play hard to get with this flirt.

Not to mention, he wanted time to finish a proper flower bouquet for the other. What? He was a florist, this was how he showed his love. It was a little hard to hide the bouquet from the other but he managed.

One day as he was working on the bouquet at the front desk, he got a call and had to step out. Not many people usually came to the shop this kind of day, and Ritchie wouldn't be in for an hour, so he thought it was fine if he just left the bouquet on the counter.

--S--D--S--

Ritchie walked into the flower shop once more, a little earlier than usual in his eagerness to see Michael again. He didn't know why he felt so attracted to the florist but he couldn't help it. Something in his heart just sang whenever he saw Michael.

Entering the flower shop, he was surprised when Michael wasn't there to greet him as he usually was. In fact, he didn't even hear the florist moving around in the back. Confused, he moved further into the flower shop, but the only thing that was out of place was a bouquet on the counter with a notebook next to it.

Curious, he moved forward and looked at the notebook to see a sort of note in Michael's handwriting.

Ranunculuses for his charm, Amaryllis works well to represent his determination to woo me over. Peonies for his bashfulness, hmmm, now I just have to find the right flower to tie it together and tell him how I feel and it'll be perfect. Maybe tulips, or moss rosebuds, those both work well for confessions.

Wait a second, Michael was planning on confessing to someone? He felt his heart clench at the thought. Sure, there was a slight possibility that the bouquet could be for him but he didn't think that Michael would put so much time and effort into a bouquet for someone who just came in to flirt with him. Not to mention, so far he had pretty much objected to all of his flirting. There was no way that the bouquet was for him.

With a heavy heart, he placed the note back on the counter and left the flower shop. If Michael was going to confess to someone other than him, there was no point in him sticking around to find out.
