Chyna's POV

"Would you leave her?" The question came out before I could even stop it. His eyes went wide and there was a dryness in my throat immediately.

"Its fine you don't have to answer that" I told him. How could I even ask the man to leave his wife?

You would not marry someone you didn't love right?

"You really don't trust me" He asked I cocked a brow. Was I supposed trust someone who was married?

"Whatever do you mean?" I asked.

"Chyna I care for you but I can't lie to you...A marriage is a marriage. I won't tell you what may just turn out to be a lie" was all he said and I swallowed.

I blinked away the moisture forming in my eyes. This was the last thing I should be thinking on but I was thinking about it regardless.

I tap the desk as I sipped on my coffee, Sasha staring down at my mug.

"Thats your third cup of coffee" she remarked and I stared at her. I hate it when she does that.

"My stomach hurts" I told her and she pat my hand.

"That's the little life growing inside you" she told me as she stood.

"I can't believe the entire firm is crumbling because of me" I told Sasha and her eyes softened.

"This is not your fault Chyna so quit saying that" she told me as I drank the last contents of my cup.

"It is Sasha, the divorce seem to make this entire scenario worst" I told her, Sasha shaking her head.

"Listen that marriage was failing long before Kenton met you. The media knew this I mean come on Chyna, if you should watch his previous interviews you see it. That woman was known for having affairs" she told me.

I couldn't judge her because I ruined what she had. Even if her marriage wasn't perfect I had no right to break a bond.

"Chyna I've known his wife for years, in fact there was a time I almost work for the woman. Well I met her before the marriage and after marriage she was just as terrible" Sasha told me and I stared at her.

Oh wow.

"A marriage is a marriage. I ruined one" I told her only for bile to rise to my mouth. I stood immediately, Sasha guiding me to the restroom.

To my luck the restroom was empty and I had to thank my wanting to do do overtime for that. It was now seven and I wouldn't be surprised if Sasha, Zedd and I were the only ones left in the building.

I emptied my stomach with Sasha holding my hair that had not been colored for the past month. Strangely my hair did not look that way and according to Mara I was 'cute as ever'.

"Looks like the tea didn't help" Sasha teased and I really wish my spirit could leave my body and knock her out for that remark.

"I tried" I told her as I eased up. She guided me to the sink in order to wash my mouth of bitter content.

********

"Ladies" Sasha and I froze the moment Kenton entered my office. This was odd because the man avoided me as though I was a carrier of the latest pathogen.

"Hello" Sasha greeted politely and I sat up with a messy hair and tired eyes.

"It's now ten. My guards are closing up are you the only two here?" He asked and Sasha shook her head.

"No, Zedd is by his office. I'm going to get him" she told Kenton and I knew the blond did that on purpose.

I placed my head to my desk as home was the last place I wanted to be. The tabloids and constant judging made my apartment the worst place to be.

I froze the moment a hand touched my hair, my eyes closing the moment the fingers massaged my scalp.

"I'm being interviewed next week, would you like to come with me?" I turned to look at him immediately.

"What's the topic?" I asked as I removed my note pad and Kenton only stared at me.

"It is not business related, its about the nasty things being said about you on the media" he told me and I placed my notebook down.

"I can't even face my coworkers or persons on my apartment complex. There is no way I can face the entire America" I told him as I stood.

"Expose the message, Chyna I can't stand the way they stare at you around here. I had to dismiss an employee for her crude behaviour. Not only was thus woman disrespectful towards you but also my ex wife and myself" he told me and I stared at the floor.

"The media was right, I did break a marriage" I told him and he surprised me when he placed me to sit on my very own desk.

"I don't want to go home" I told him truthfully as I surprised him with a hug. He stood there for awhile until his arms came around me.

"You could stay with me if you like" he told me and for a moment I forgot about his divorce.

"Why won't you fire me?" The moment I asked that question he pulled back to stare at me.

"Why on earth would I fire you Chyna?" I was asked and I gave a simply shrug.

"Sasha and I examined the figures today, the company's loss is growing worse" I told him and he stared at me.

"Let me worry about that" I was told as he took a seat. As if on cue the door opened to reveal Sasha and Zedd.

I stood, handing Sasha my keys. Kenton stared at me with wide eyes.

"I won't be home for a couple days, would you watch her for me?" I asked and the blond smile.

"Sure Chyna, be safe and don't  be afraid to call" she told me and Zedd smiled.

"Sash and I will clean up after we are done" he told me and Sasha hit him so hard I was quite surprised that his head remained in place.

"Don't push it" I warned and Sasha shook her head.
