"Sorry to break you two up. Selena, I've asked Tobias and Carter to show you around the place," Steve said. I let go of Loki and turned to follow the two teenagers who were waiting for me at the beginning of the hallway.

"So these are where the bedrooms are. That's mine at the end of the hall and Carter is next me. Loki's is next to yours which is right here," explained Tobias. I found it a little funny that they didn't share a room, seeing how they acted around each other. I had to make sure to bug them about it later. He opened the door for me so that I could take a look at the place where I would be spending my night hours. It was really nice and clean; not to mention the sheer size of it. The room even had a small balcony that over looked the city. I placed my book bag on my new bed and turned to them.

We walked for a while after seeing the training room and a few other places. Finally, we came to a floor that Carter explained was where the labs were. I couldn't help but stop and take a look around when they told me that this was where Bruce Banner spent most of his time. Even in school science was my favorite class and to meet Bruce Banner was to meet not only the Hulk but a scientific genius. The place looked like something really important was going on. Half the instruments that were in the room looked so advanced that I felt as if I were to touch anything it might result in the end of the world. "Wow. This is amazing! Did Tony make all these?" I asked the two of them.

"Yeah he did, but my dad and I made a few adjustments to the software so it could pick up on the small things and not just the obvious." What was it with people here and talking to others when their back is turned? "I'm Riley Banner by the way, and you are?"

He had short dark brown hair and bright blue eyes. I also couldn't help but notice that he was a little taller than me and cut like a rock. Bottom line was that he was hot. "Uh, Selena. I don't really have a last name but that's what you get growing up an orphan. Sorry, that was really uncalled for. So, what are you guys trying to do here?" I asked.

"Please don't, once he gets started on this stuff he doesn't stop. R, Selena is Loki's kid and she is going to be living here with us now. So try not to get all mean and green on her," Carter said from behind me. At first I couldn't tell if she was being sarcastic or if she was actually a bitch. Everyone seemed to laugh a little after she said that so I guessed she wasn't that much of a bitch. "If you all don't mind, I'm going to my room. Call me when it's dinner," she said, her back already turned to us and walking back the way we came.

"If you guys don't mind I'm gonna go with her. I think I need a little cat nap. It was great meeting you Riley," I said following Carter down the hallway.

Back in my room, I made a beeline to the bed. I opened up my bag and pulled out my phone and headphones. Within seconds my favorite song,Figure It Out by Royal Blood, was blasting in my ears. I looked around the room and noticed the bookcases that were in the corner so I decided to take a closer look. There were only a few books that seemed interesting which made me upset but beggars can't be choosers now can they?

I was about to sit down in the armchair that was near and dive in to the book I had picked when someone knocked on my door. I got up and walk over to answer it, taking out my headphones and turning the music off. I opened the door to find my dad, Loki, standing there. “Mind if I come in for a second?” he asked. I nodded and stepped aside so that he could get through the door. “I wanted to give you this,” he held out a thick, leather bound book with a green and gold cover, “It’s a book of spells our mother gave me when I was a boy. If you want, I could teach you a few tricks,” he suggested.

I took the book from his hands and started to examine the first couple of pages. It seemed like the real deal, the whole thing was written in runes with Celtic designs all over the sides of the pages. It was like a work of art. “I would love to learn how to pull a rabbit out of a hat, but I have no idea what any of this is saying.” I said looking back up to Loki who was smiling. He waved his hand over the book, green energy coming out of it. I looked back down at the book to find that the pages had been translated to English.
