Chapter 20

The car stopped at some place, and they grabbed my shoulder and dragged me out. I tried to free myself from their grip, but I was drained out of energy as I kept yelling at them and hitting them. They removed my blindfold as soon as we stepped out. It was very dark. I could barely see anything. There was no source of light and it was quite eerie. I still tried examining my surroundings, but it was of no use. I didn't even have my cell phone as my bag was snatched by them. They pushed me forward and I looked back at them, feeling confused.

"Walk forward. We aren't accompanying you from here onwards. " One of them said.

"What? But were am I supposed to go? Aren't you the ones that kidnapped me? Now, how could you tell me to go all alone? " I said feeling frustrated.

Come on, it's their duty to take me to their boss or whomever, because they are the ones that kidnapped me. How could they ask me to walk alone? You should have some ethics as a kidnapper.

"Boss is waiting for you. Just keep moving forward. " They said.

I sighed in frustration.

I started walking slowly, counting each step. It was tooo dark. As I took another step, a heart shaped light, which was big enough for about 5 people to walk through, went on. I was soo surprised. My heart started pounding loudly. I walked through it, and another heart shaped light went on. With a huge smile engraved on my face, I walked through it and an other went on. There were about ten such lights, which looked like a heart shaped tunnel. As I went through the last one and moved forward, it was dark again, and there wasn't any light.
But I still managed to walk forward. I could actually sense people around me, but they were out of my vicinity.

As I walked forward, a white spot light suddenly went on, illuminating an empty space. I stood where I was. And there walked in my man, the guy for whom my heart beats, as he stood there, beneath the light, which highlighted his handsome features.

My breath hitched seeing this beautiful angel. My legs involuntarily carried me towards him, and we both stood there, beneath the spotlight, looking into each others eyes.

"You look beautiful. " He said

"And you look handsome, as usual. " I said and he smiled.
"But what's with all these arrangements? " I asked him looking into his eyes which seemed to carry deep emotions.

He suddenly went down on one knee, rummaging his pant pocket, and then extending his hand, showcasing a beautiful diamond ring, which shone like a star in the dark sky.

I took a step back, using a hand to cover my gaping mouth, while my glassy eyes became blurry.

"You're the first person that made my heart flutter, and I bet you'll be the last one. I have liked many, but loved very few, yet no one can be compared with you. The only thing that I want is to wake up in the morning next to you, and to sleep at night embracing you. You are my sun, you are my moon. You are my dawn, you are my dusk. You are my life and the only person for whom my heart beats. Life without you is like a body without soul. You complete me. You make me want to live. I just want to hold you in my arms until I exhale my last breath.  I can never imagine my future without you. I'm willing to give up my everything, just to have you my side. And to do that, I'll have to confine you, lawfully. And that confinement will be the best part of my life. So, Y/n, will you MARRY ME? "
Tears rolled down my eyes as he completed his last sentence.
I felt euphoric. My heart was jumping. It wanted him, just him. I nodded my head and said, "YES".
I couldn't say anything else, as he pushed the ring onto my ring finger and hugged me tight placing light kisses on my nape. I buried my face in his neck and inhaled his intoxicating scent.
