Yes Man
Fallout New Vegas
Warning: None
He's a synth in this!

3rd POV
"Awh, come on Swank, can't you help me out?"

Swank tapped his chin, "Whats in it for me?"

Yes Man blushed, "I have five bucks and a paperclip..."

Swank smiled, "I was just fuckin'. So what do you need me to do?"

"Normally, I'd ask Benny, but... you know..." He trailed off before snapping back to the conversation, "So, I want to tell Y/N how I feel."

Swank clapped him on the back, "Finally grew some synthetic balls? Good. How can I help?"

"Well, you seem to have a way with women-"

"And men."

"And men... So I just need your help... How do I even start saying anything...?"

Swank smiled slyly, taking a sip of his glass as he eyed a gentleman across the bar, "C'mere, pal." He wrapped an arm around Yes Man's shoulder (which he wouldn't have done without taking a shot or two first). They walked to Yes Man's room, and Swank walked around, eyeing the place. He put a hand in his pocket as his other held a glass of whiskey. He raised a brow, "So, are we talking about seduction or-"

"Gosh, no! I just want Y/N to know how I feel..."

"And how so you feel?"

"I dunno! That's why I asked you!"

"You didn't ask me how you feel." He saw that he flustered the young synth, and sighed, "Practice with me. What do you want Y/N to know? Just pour your heart out into it. That works for me."

Yes Man thought for a while, looking around the room anxiously. He started speaking, stuttering over his words and already feeling butterflies in his stomach.

First POV
I slung my bag over my shoulder, letting out a huff of breath as the elevator opened. Today had been busy, with the White Gloves kidnapping someone and all... I scratched behind my ear and reached in my pocket for the key to Yes Man's room. He asked me to bring him cool rocks and I'd finally gotten my hands on a few. I stuck my key in the door, but paused, not turning it yet. I heard Yes Man. It sounded like he was talking to someone.

I turned the key, and opened the door a little, just enough to peek in. I saw him talking to someone. I couldn't see who it was, since they were sitting behind a wall. From the sound of it, Yes Man was just... pouring his heart out. I felt something happen in my chest, and I wasn't quite sure what it was. Me and Yes Man weren't together, nor had I ever thought of him that way. So why was I getting jealous?

My cheeks flushed at such a thought, and I slammed the door, my bag slipping off my shoulder. I hadn't noticed. I went to the elevator, going to the first floor and nearly jamming my finger on the 'Close Door' button. I bit the insides of my cheek, tapping my foot anxiously. The doors slid open, and I immediately turned my attention to the bar. After a hard day of work, and jealousy, why not have a drink? Or five...

I ordered a dry martini, and sat on a stool, crossing my arms. What did I even have to be upset over? Me and Yes Man weren't together, and I suppose now, we never will be. I sipped my liquor, bellying the harsh taste. I heard a loud crash followed by a string of apologies, and figured there was only one person that clumsy coming after me. I turned my chair a little, frowning as Yes Man hopped onto the chair next to me, spinning in a small circle before facing me again.

"Hi."

I ignored him, sipping my drink.

"About what you heard-"

I glared at him, hushing him. He left.

I bit the inside of my cheek as my throat burned. Whether it was from the alcohol, or me trying not to cry, I'd never know. He came back a few seconds later, gripping someone's arm. I saw it to be Swank, and raised an unimpressed brow. Swank looked as confused as I was, for a moment. Yes Man cleared his throat, "Y/N, I love you."

I felt my collar heat up, but I looked at him with disbelief, confused as to why Swank needed to be here to hear him say that. He continued, "I wanted to tell you for a long time, but I didn't know how, so I got him to help me." He motioned to Swank, who was also putting the pieces together. "I love you so, so much, and I didn't know how to tell you and now you probably think-"

"No, wait... I mean, yes, I like you too, but... this is just confusing. Why would you ask Swank, of all people?"

Swank frowned, "Hey..."

Yes Man shrugged, "He just has a way with people and I couldn't really ask Benny..."

I smiled, "Yeah... So do you wanna go out for a drink sometime, or what?"

"I don't need to drink but, yes..."
