Falling Apart

Part Two .

Witney decided to forget about those mean comments . She was better than that . She had to be . She turned off her phone and was trying to have fun . Everyone was playing truth or dare . When it was her turn , she picked truth . Val asked her ," How did you win tonight ?" Everyone laughed as it was just a joke . So Witney followed along .
"What do you mean ?" Witney replied , adding a little chuckle .
" I mean ," Val went on," that there must've been something you did to win . Did you convince the judges , call in ..."
" Stop ." Alfonso said to Val , in a rather harsh way . The laughter died down .
" Yeah , that's low . Even for you ." Janel replied to Val . The whole thing was supposed to be fun . Witney was supposed to forget about the hate , but instead , she's getting it from her friends .

Witney left and went back to the lounge area . Some people came up to her and asked if she was okay and that Val was just playing around , but they eventually went back to playing the game . Witney knew Val was mad when he didn't win . She would be too , but she would never have said that to Val , in front of everyone .
After the game was old , Val went up to Witney and apologized .
" I'm sorry Wit ," said Val . " I didn't mean for that to come across and I have a short temper . Can you please forgive me ?"
" Yes , I forgive you . I understand ," Witney replied with a fake smile plastered on her face .
She couldn't understand . Why would one of her best friends be talking about her . Why would he say something that mean . She just couldn't get it . Before she knew it , she turned on her phone . But she regretted it as soon as she saw the comments .
