Chapter # 42

       " After a long time... Huhhh."

Priya was excited about the family dinner after the things were fell into the right pieces...

   She already had made special arrangements for the dinner in the terrace...

   Shravan and Suman went to physician' s chamber for Shravan's regular check-up...

Neeraj was in a conference call with the police officials...

        Priya was arranging the dishes on the table...

" Mom..." Suman's voice reached the terrace...

  " Haan...beta... I am at terrace"

Suman peeped out of the stairs...

" What you're doing there?"

Shouting, she began to climb the steps...

" Nothing... I am coming down now...wait"

Priya stopped suman midway and they both stepped down again...

" Where's shravan..? What did the doctor say?"

Priya  inquired...

" Nothing serious Mom... Sometimes, shravan feels throbbing headache that's because of the tension and stress it seems... He has to be stress free... Then, he will be alright... Doctor has prescribed new medicines this time..."

Priya listened quietly..

" Don't worry beta... He will be alright... We will take care of him... listen... The dinner is at terrace today... Fresh up and come.. I will call Shravan too"

Pushing her to the washroom, Priya went to call Shravan...

   The night sky was pale  grey as  the crescent moon  succeeded to drive away the deep darkness... Added, the stars were blinking wide here and there that made the ambience partially lit...

  The shaded lamps of the terrace added the perfect blend to the sumptuous spread for the dinner.

    As everyone was seated , Priya began to serve...

" Wow... Seems delicious..!"

Neeraj rubbed his hands together...

" You can relish the food ...but, on one
condition... it's family time and no discussions about your job.."

She said in a threatening tone...

" On your order... Madam...."

Neeraj bowed his head infront of her...

Shravan began to laugh... Suman joined him...

She took a medicine strip and gave it to shravan...

" Shravan... Before food..."

She brought a glass of water to him and gestured to have it...

He had the tablet...

  They began to eat, discussing a lot , carefully avoiding the unwanted things..

  " Suman beta ... We have a high commission meeting by two days."

As Neeraj said, Priya hit her head...

" Some people will never change..."

She laughed sarcastic...

Neeraj looked her, pitiful...
