Easter Morning

Beca and Chloe were holding each other in their arms as the early morning sun rose, the sun rays gleaming through the blinds of their bedroom. The women were only half awake as they admired each other, tracing their fingers along the other's silhouette. Beca smiled softly as she traced her finger down the ginger's arm and interlaced their fingers when she reached her hand. Beca traced the golden wedding band on Chloe's finger, admiring its beauty. Chloe watched the small smile on Beca's lips, admiring the brunette's happiness.

Chloe looked into Beca's deep blue eyes and whispered, "you know it's not going to be like this all morning, right?"

Beca chuckled, "I know. Those tiny, crazy humans will be in here soon."

Chloe smiled, "so will the tiny, crazy, dog."

"Yep, and the dog." The brunette nodded.

Chloe giggled, "you gonna be okay with all that this early in the morning?"

Beca smiled as she heard little footsteps rolling through their house. "I guess we're about to find out."

"Brace for impact."

Suddenly their bedroom door swung open as two little girls and a puppy stormed through. Beca covered her face with blankets and pretended to be asleep as the trio jumped onto the bed to greet their parents.

"Moooom, we know you're not asleep!" Sarah giggled as she practically jumped on top of Beca. Sarah was 9 years old, she had wavy orange hair and deep blue eyes. She was an energetic kid, with a hint of an attitude.

"Give your Mom a break, it's still before 7am." Chloe laughed as the couple's second daughter cuddled into her chest.

"Happy Easter Mommy." Grace said sweetly. Grace was 5 years old, she had light brown hair and bright blue eyes. Grace was more of a shy kid, but once she got used to you, her crazy side would come out.

"Happy Easter, Grace." Chloe smiled, "Happy Easter, Sarah, you too Milo."

Milo was a puppy German Sheppard. The family had rescued him about a month ago and so far, he had settled in quite nicely.

Sarah continued to get Beca to 'wake up'. However, with this amount of noise, no sane person could possibly sleep through this. Sarah pulled back the covers to see Beca smiling, but still pretending to be asleep. Milo quickly jumped on top of the brunette and proceeded to lick her face, which seemed to 'wake Beca up' pretty quickly as she struggled to escape, making the girls laugh.

"Well, well, well. Look what we have here!" Beca smiled as Sarah gave her a hug. "Happy Easter girls, and Milo." She winked at the dog. Beca and Milo were practically best friends already.

"Do you wanna see what the Easter Bunny got us?!" Sarah asked excitedly.

"Absolutely." Beca smiled.

The couple laughed as the tiny humans scrambled off the bed and back to their rooms to collect their presents.

"How do they have this much energy?" Beca yawned, making Chloe giggle.

"I have no idea."

The girls returned, with Milo not far behind. In their hands they carried massive Easter eggs and proudly presented them to their parents, who acted like they had never seen them before.

"Wow!" the ginger smiled, "the Easter Bunny must really love you girls, those are huge!"

"That's what she said." Beca whispered under her breath, making Chloe smirk.

"What Mom?" Grace asked.

"Oh, nothing sweetheart. Don't worry about it." She chuckled.

The little girls continued showing off their surprises and jumping around like crazy, excited, idiots.

"Right. I think that it's time for..." Chloe paused for suspense, "... The Easter egg hunt!" she said happily.

The girls squealed in excitement and jumped off the bed to get ready for the annual Easter egg hunt, which had now become a tradition in the Mitchell-Beale household.

The couple glanced at each other.

"You ready for this hunt, Beale?"

"I was born ready, Mitchell."

Beca smirked, "let's do this."

The wives leaned in for a kiss and prepared for what was going to be a tiring, but great, day.
