The rain was pounding against my red umbrella as I splashed down the wet sidewalk with Tyler's hand intertwined in mine. His sweet aroma of the woods filled my nostrils. I wished that this moment would never pass, there is something very romantic about the rain. I smiled to myself remembering how we had fallen in love.

It was about a month ago, and it was a full moon. I still remember Tyler's cries if pain while every last bone broke in his body. He was turning into a werewolf for the first time and he needed my help to keep him chained up. Whenever he screamed at me to leave I couldn't. How could I when he was in so much pain? Eventually I had to run off because he had torn the chains out of the ground. A werewolf's bite is fatal to vampires, so it was either leave or die. But anyways, after that experience I guess that we had formed a bond. I remembered when he came to my house the next day and kissed me on the front porch, even though Matt and I were still in a complicated relationship. The kiss was electric and left a big impression on me.

"Caroline?" Tyler asked, sounding like he had just realized that I wasn't paying attention to what he was saying. I shook my head and tried to remember what the conversation was about.

I failed and finally said, "I'm sorry I wasn't really listening, I was thinking about how we fell in love." I told him in a dreamy voice.

He got a mischievous smile on his face and he said, "Oh? When was it for you?" He had led us up against a building and his hands were placed on either side of me.

"Hmm I think it was when you first kissed me," I told him, then he kissed the top of my wet head.

"Yeah?" He murmured. He took the umbrella from my hands and set it on the ground without closing it. Rain poured on us and my hair began to drip as if I was in the shower.

"When did you realize that you loved me?" I asked pulling him closer to me. He was so warm and inviting, is little half smile melted me.

"When I realized that you actually cared enough about me to stay with me all night during the turn. No one has ever cared about me that much." After he said this it made me feel sorry for him. His dad, the mayor of Mystic Falls, died about four months ago in a burning building- that is a long story. But even before his dad died, his dad was terrible to him. Never thought he was good enough. I pushed the thought out of my head and decided that this moment was only about me and him. Not anyone that has ever hurt him.

I brought my hand up to his chest and bundled his shirt up with my fingers, then I pulled in towards me, "Do you know what would be really romantic?" I asked him with a giggle.

"I give up," he said, "What?" He wondered, he looked so cute when he was confused.

"Kissing in the rain," as soon I said this he got a big goofy grin on his face.

"Hmm that sounds nice," he closed the distance between us and gently pressed his lips against mine. He started out playful, pulling away and kissing my cheek, my neck, I grabbed his face and brought is lips back to mine. He searched hungrily this time and our mouths parted. My stomach still fluttered with butterflies, even though we have kissed many times before. I moaned and wished again that i could stop time. This was probably the best kiss I had ever experienced.
