"Alright," (Y/N) muttered as she tied her sneakers. Blake had left for work early in the morning and it was nearing noon when (Y/N) had decided to go for a run.

"You coming, Artie?" The (Y/H/C) asked, watching as the dog lazily lifted it's head to look at her before laying back down with a huff and going back to sleep. "Cool, guess I'm running alone..." She muttered, headed outside using the back door.

She surveyed the woods around her before setting up her phone. She pressed go on the new running app she'd downloaded called 'zombies, run!' and started off on a slow jog.

She weaved in and out of trees, sprinting when the app would tell her the zombies were attacking her and walking when she was in the clear.

God, she hated running so much. This app was a massive motivator though, the drill Sargent's screams and urgency kicking her adrenaline in.

After about forty-five minutes she took out one of the head phones, taking a break for a few seconds when a twig snapped off to her right. Her head snapped in that directed, eyes scanning the trees for any movement.

When she saw nothing she moved to put her earphone back in before another twig snapped closer. She spun around looking at her surroundings only to find she was still alone.

She remembered the conversation she'd had with Blake last night and started to panic, leaving one earphone out as the Sargent yelled at her to run. She chose to listen, running as fast as she could in a general direction she believed the house to be in.

She swore she could hear something following her, making her push harder as her lungs burnt and her legs ached. God she was glad that she hadn't had asthma since she was little.

Once the house was in view, (Y/N) sprinted up the porch stairs and ripped the glass door open before slamming it closed behind her.

She stared out at the trees, thinking that if she looked long enough she'd see something.

Locking the door, she ran up to her room and went immediately to her window where she saw a wolf looking at her from the tree line.

She held her breath for a moment as she stared at the wolf, it's piercing brown eyes looking into her soul as it stared back.

After a few seconds the wolf broke eye contact and sprinted back into the woods away from the house and (Y/N) finally started breathing again

She stayed in her room until Blake got home later that night with a handful of mail. "(Y/N) I'm home, you got some mail!" She yelled upstairs.

Hopping down the stairs (Y/N) greeted the older lady before sitting on top of the kitchen island. "How's work?" She asked, taking the mail Blake held out for her. It was a medium sized parcel and letter, the teen looking at it curiously.

"It went well I think. I mean, it was only my first day and I'm still figuring things out but I think I made a good first impression." She babbled.
