I Can't Shift

Avery POV

I woke up the day of my 15th birthday and walked into the kitchen. Today is the day I am supposed to 'shift' I got pulled out of my thoughts when my mom walked into the kitchen. "Hi honey are you ready for your first shift" my mom said. I almost laughed at that but my mom would think I am weird but, I can't just say 'Hey I forgot to tell you I already shifted I am a blood freaking wolf so please spare me' yeah no. So instead I nod.

Now it is 8:00 PM, the time all of the 15 year olds werewolves show up in a field to shift for the first time. The field in just like expet it has a pond so we could easily see what we look like. There is also bleachers around it so everyone could see everyone shift. Soon everyone started screaming in pain but, me I just stood there waiting for everyone to be done. I know what you guys are thinking (mind reader) why can't you just shift into a different wolf? Well here is the answer if I shifted into a different wolf then everyone could probably be curious to why I shifted faster than new shifters and painless. Everyone finally and now looking at themselves in the pond until the Alpha decided tp speak up "Every wolf that successfully shifted shift back and Avery come here". Slowly I made my way to him and I studdered "y-yes A-Alpha" he looked like he was about to blow. "You can't shift so therefore I make you the pack slave and the Omega" I looked at him shocked I thought he wouldn't care that much so what of I 'can't' shift. But, I can't just start yelling at the Alpha especially in front of the pack. So I nod and ran into the pack house and started crying.

I woke up to Layla opening my door slowly I sat up and she jumped and smiled ever so slightly and sat door on my bed. "Avery i'm so sorry but, the Alpha commanded us not the talk to you unless, it was chores related" Layla said sadly. I hugged and I kept repeating 'its alright' and she left right after saying "the Alpha wants you to make breakfast for the pack". I sighed and made my way to the kitchen and about to make myself a plate until the Alpha came slapped me across the face. I fell on the floor just sitting hoping we would leave " you can never eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner you fat cow" the Alpha said with a hint of his Alpha voice. Any normal wolf even that would make them submit but, it just made Demonia mad. Sadly I forced her to submit so she don't take control and kill the Alpha for telling us we can't eat anything. I slowly stood with my head bow and walked to my room.

★3 years later★

It has been hard not to use my powers or kill the entire pack for making me the pack slave today is my 18th birthday this is the bigger expet when I shifted. I get to find my mate and he could save me from my 'pack'.
