Roman's pov
"How can I deal with this" I asked myself.

The beginning
I looked in my mirror to see my eye color shift to the darkest brown I've ever seen in my eyes.

What is going on with me?

"Who said that" I asked.

Past- high school days
"Hey Jamal" I said to him.

"Hey" he replied.

"How are you feeling" I asked him.

Recently he had his heart broken after he caught his ex cheating on him with someone he thought he could trust.

"Taking it day by day" he said leaning back in his chair putting his hands behind his head.

All of a sudden we heard yelling outside.

I looked at Jamal.

"Dean" we both said before we rushed out there to see Dean arguing with that self-centered kid, Sami Zayn.

"I told you to leave her alone" he yelled at Sami.

Recently Dean has taken a protective state over the new girl in town.

We really never caught her name except for Dean.

"Hey guys" Seth said walking up to us with Adam and Drew following behind him.

"Hey" I said to them.

All of a sudden I smelt a rush of vanilla and felt a little lightheaded.

"Roman, you okay" Drew asked showing a look of concern.

I looked up to see a small girl walking towards Britt, Kacy, Dean, and the new girl.

Jamal looked at the girl and then back at me.

"Oh" he mouthed to me.

Adam, Seth, and Drew slowly realized it and started pushing me towards the girl.

"Stop it guys" I told them.

"Hey Roman" Kacy said smiling at me.

"Hey" I replied.

I noticed Britt glance behind me.

"Oh let me introduce to Taynara" Britt said to me pointing at my supposed mate beside her.

I looked into her beautiful brown eyes.

Let me at her!

No! We just met her!

I looked behind me to see Adam looking at the new girl.

He definitely found his mate.

Present- 5 years later
Dean's POV
I was chasing after a lone wolf that wondered into our land.

Jamal- Dean! Get your ass in the house!
Dean- Yes mom.
J-shut up!

I let out a chuckle before rushing to our group house grabbing my bag of clothes I hid behind a bush.

I quickly changed into my human self and got dressed before rushing into our group's home.

Roman and Seth were sitting down on the couch and Jamal was standing with his arms crossed across his chest.

"Hey guys" I said.

"Oh good he's finally here" Jamal snapped.

I was taken by surprise.

"I'm sorry Dean, but you gotta be careful, there's been lynx spotting all around our city" Seth calmly said.
