BEING THE MAN IN THE MIDDLE

chapter five

Nathaniel was out on the porch talking to the cops for some time, Tiana was left in wondered for it was a secret conversation ,
"What you think they are talking about?" Tiana ask clover,
"What happened" clover said
Do you think that he got a running with the cops, I mean he came from no where"
"He's a nice guy
"Bad guys are always nice at first"
"You can't use Aran to judge every guy, I like him, and obvious you do too for you gave him some"
Tiana smile holding on to her swore lip,
"You still owes me the details" clover whispers when Nathaniel and the cops came back to the room, the doctor was with them, he ran some tests on her gave her a few pain killers and cream for the bruises, he left, Nathaniel came to sit facing tiana to apply the cream  on her skin,  just then  Aran came through the door, bursting into the living room, "what the hell  are you doing in my house, I don't need no cops in my house" he curse, Nathaniel got up
"You how comes you are in my damn house?" He snapped rushing towards Nathaniel, the two cops step in to grab him, "leave my house, what the hell you all are doing?"
"The cops were call over because you were beating on your wife" one cop told him,
"What happened between me and my wife has nothing to do with you all, did you call the cops over here woman?" he ask looking over on Tiana,
"No Aran I would never call the cops" Tiana cried,
Nathaniel look at her then to her husband
"You want to hear she call the cop so you can beat her again?" Nathaniel ask
"Shut up man, you shut the frig  up, this is my wife, I don't know who the shit you think you are but quiet getting in the middle of me and my friggin wife you hear me"
"I'm in the middle of you and your wife what you gonna do dick?" Nathaniel asked,
"I will hurt you boy then let the cops arrest me"
"You think it's going to be so easy ah, you think you know this boy, ah, ah dick!" Nathaniel said going into Aran's face,
The cops held him back
"Am I under arrest here for if I'm not leave you all leave my house"
"Since your wife didn't file a report it's obvious you won't be arrested" the cop said
"Now leave all of you leave, you too clover take your man and leave my house, before I say you can't come back" he look at Nathaniel with a hard look,
"I'll call you, are you going to be ok?" Clover ask
"I'm, call me" Tiana said
Clover bend over to kiss the children, "love you both" she said she look at Nathaniel who lean close to Tiana,
"Are you sure you don't want to charge him, Tiana the cops are right here, it's your call"
Tiana would love nothing more but not when she's thinking on her children, she need him now for the sake of her children, Tiana look a way and didn't look at Nathaniel again,
"You got your answer" Aran said, it was obvious that she didn't want to Nathaniel shook his head at Tiana frown at Aran,
the cop came and held Nathaniel "you must go" one said leading him to the door he felt so disappointed that he walk away saying nothing more, the door closed behind them and Aran ran the children  off to bed, Tiana curl herself into a tight ball awaiting her beating, with her eyes shut tightly she could only feel the shadow from her several of  feet hight  husband towering over her she pray God he wouldn't slap her in stead of a hard knock to her face he punched the sofa on which she sat, "who the fuck gave him right to try and come between me and you, ah who the fuck does he think he is coming up in here telling me how to deal with my fucking wife" he squeal his words with a roar that pain Tiana's ear drums "what is he your defense? Who told him you need him standing in the middle, did you! did you!?" He asked loudly his face only inch a way from hers she could smell liquor on his breath, he was starting to change his colour as a Leppard change it's spot, she looks in to his deep dark eyes that held a devilish form of anger, she seems to notice it there every time he got angry, "answer me bitch" he stomp on the sofa once again,
"No Aran I told him nothing, I swear, I told him nothing at all" she cried out,
Aran look her in the face overall her he cuff her cheek bone in to a rather tight grip causing the pain that was already there to react, "if I see you anywhere near him I will kill him you tell him I say so  and I'll keep my promise, until he leaves that house I don't want to see you talking to him, and I'll see to it he leaves very soon"  he shove her face she clenched her teeth and cry out in pain, much as her pains were unbearable she couldn't stand to the thoughts of her husband hurting Nate not in a million years she was falling in love with him more than she wants to believe and didn't even want to see him leave,
