BEING THE MAN IN THE MIDDLE

Nathaniel called up his lawyer Monday morning they had talk up on this before as he had explain before he did once again, he was more at ease to know that the court won't grant custody of the children to their father if they're not comfortable with him, as long as the mother is a active mother and her children consider her good to them all will be good,
He would gone to see the man himself but he didn't want to jebadise Tiana not getting her children, it wasn't a must they'll go depends on what the man want to do, the children were clear on not wanting to see him he was giving them time it's his kids if at some point they changed their mind he's good with it, he got off the phone with his lawyer and drove to the inn to check on things over there it was reaching the end they were at the final climax, he talk to his mother about it but haven't yet told Tiana, he heard her talking to his mother it didn't sound as though she mentioned anything not even that he told her about the pregnancy, he wondered why Tiana didn't tell her what she was afraid of, from the inn he drove to camp which were on two different side of town he look around glad to see things coming on fine he believes with in the next two weeks they can start registration for camp students, he make it home to catch dinner, and when he got home Tiana was talking with his mother, Sophia call as often as she could and was always glad to hear from Tiana when she call, it was good her son has someone in his life and she was glad to be apart of that someone, they talk for some time before Tiana was ready to hang up, "say hello to Rosa" she say like always since the game at her children's school she haven't seen either ladies
"I will dear" Sophia said, they then hang up.
Nathaniel has told the children they could invite clover and her family over now that school is on the first week break they were anxious to do just that but considering his birthday coming up in a week Tiana thought they could throw him a party, which would be good but she doesn't have the money and she didn't want to go running to Nate it wasn't anything big or was it going to be a surprise in it's just a small gathering, she thought she could invite a few of his closest friends, she didn't know anyone from Richard, the thoughts of him make her smile she call him right away, he too smile on hearing from her,
"I heard you say to Nathaniel that he could call you if needed anything, I hope at one point I can do the same" Tiana said
Richard giggle, "you know you can"
"I want to have a party for Nate"
"A party ah not bad"
"I need your help"
"Yes"
"you know his closets friends"
"that would be me"
They both giggle, but Tiana suddenly remembered that guy Neil from church to her it seems he and Nathaniel  they were closer than Richard was to him,
"You Know what I meant"
"Yes it's why I told you it's me"

"Don't worry my wife is here I'll send her to you and she'll help you with your plans and I'll get the list"
"Thank you, you're such a friend"
They laugh then hang up,
Nathaniel was over her when she look up,
"Hey" Tiana said pulling him next to her, since tiana skip dinner Nathaniel didn't stay very long at the table leaving the children to it, "Did you eat?"
"I did"
"Are you ok? You've been busy most of the week, aren't you tired I got a massage oil" she whispered then kiss him,
"It's about time you got some oil" he said
"So how are you feeling, I call the doctor today I've an appointment for next week"
Nathaniel nod,
They sat in silence Tiana took a deep breath and rest her palm over Nathaniel's
"You happen to be my reason for living now Tiana I want you to be happy"
"I am look at me, not only that I'm happy but I'm beautiful too no scar"
Nathaniel rub her face nodding, she was really beautiful, "Not only here, but here" he touched the flesh between her tights kissing her,
"Get a room, no body wants to see that" rihanna said coming in the living room they look up and she stood over them
"Sorry honey" Tiana said fixing herself, they pull away from each other Rihanna frow as she sat down next to Nathaniel who look at her, "I heard sorry too often" she  smile and he rub her hair, Niccane came to sit with them to wrap her arm around him kissing his cheek they went to bed later Tiana lay in bed with Nate's back pressed up against her chest, while she rub his chest her legs wrap him up tightly as they lay together neither up for loving but spend time talking,
"I'll start working with in two weeks" Nathaniel said turning in her arms
"you going back?"
"Back to the army no, but I'm starting a camping service"
"like recruiting camp?"
"more like a training camp for kids who's interested in becoming a member of the army some day,
"Cadet campus?"
"You could say that"
"I was thinking that maybe I too should get a job I want to help out with the children"
"what will you do now ah, aren't you the one who said you wouldn't know where to start?"
"Yes but I hate see you taking on the responsibility of the children all by yourself"
"I don't want you to worry about your children, Tiana the kids are fine I have a feeling I won't run out off money now, business is good at the inn and"
" Wait a minute what inn"
"my father left it as a token for me on his will"
"Ok" tiana said rolling her eyes and to think he was broke and could mostly afford to pay his rent, now he owns this nice house fancy cars and Jeep
"And tiana I'm sure that once you get to Start working you'll be able to help with the kids"
"who said I'll get a job now? no one might even hire a pregnant woman"
"may be not, but you're not showing anyway"
"Don't matter they won't I know for sure"
"we'll go out together and see"
"I'm looking forward to it" she said leaning over to kiss him a long tasty kiss.
Tiana and Nathaniel went down to the inn at the antique store he had set up for her, it was stocking up on items when they got there, every thing was finish and ready, Tiana wonder what she would get to do here,  she was surprised to learn she will get to be the manager, she wondered for how long was he planning this for her, she gets to manage the store and do what she wants to there, she was really surprised he went all out to fix a business for her,
She couldn't wait to tell clover, but wait until she wasn't in the present of Nate to share with clover the news, who was excited what excites her was to hear that she'll visit for the weekend of Nate's birthday with her family, the children were super excited about going to Colorado springs and pray the weekend would come early,
"What's this?" Tiana asked when Nathaniel hand her the card
"Credit card"

"What should I do with this?"
"you can use it to shop get what ever you want, you can also use it to get gas, what ever you want" he told her
"Can I plan a party too?" Tiana ask with a smirk
"You're planning a party, but for who, who deserves it?"
"You! Who else?" Tiana kiss him Nathaniel held her close pressing her to him his hand squeezing in her butt cheek,
Rihanna came in the living room, clear her throat they both look at her but neither move,
"It begins to feel like I'm living the same day every day" she grumble, she walk away hearing them giggle smiling too.
"Tiana I was thinking that you should rent the house through the agency" Nathaniel said
Tiana looks at him as if clueless,
"you sign some documents and once the house is qualified they rent it and a small amount of the money goes to them and the rest will go into your account"
"I could do that?"
"yes you can we'll go there and talk to am agent"
It seems to her Nathaniel was a wise guy who think straight of what to do,
"With that coming to your account you can always have it save to help with the kids when the time comes to send then to college, and then you don't have to become sick about me doing it a lone"
Tiana nod and smile,she wish she had this kind of relationship with Aran even to discuss the children's further education he provided but it was things he believes they had was to have,
As promised he took her to the agency got the form sign because the house was in good condition it wasn't going to be a problem,
They took their first visit to the doctor doing it together, things were looking bright as she was healthy, doctor had asked questions from the father he had to know for if the father became stress it won't be good for the pregnant mother then there won't be a healthy and happy baby,
Nathaniel wasn't loosing another family not this time he wasn't standing for that, "Thanks doc I'll see you next time" Nathaniel said, they walk out the door with him hugging her shoulder and she his waist,
"You're going to drive?" Tiana ask
"I'm ok being seen in the front of a woman's vehicle but not driving it" Nathaniel said
"was it for your wife?"
"no I want was to get a Jeep bought it on line but instead of a man's ride I got this" he said opening up the driver's seat, Tiana thought he was getting in "get in" he told her, Tiana smile,
"So why didn't you send it back?"
"I thought one day I would sell it but never got to the day, I even ask Richard since he's in car service I ask him to buy it but he said I wasn't ready to sell, am glad I didn't"
"I'm glad you didn't"
They smile he relax as she drove him home only indulge her in a little amount of conversation,
Nathaniel's lawyer visit aran's lawyer and he visit his work place with a copy of divorce papers,
"She's divorcing me!?" He snapped "that bitch is really divorcing me for him, that boy"
"They don't want to go to court"
"Who said that, him, him or her?"
"Both, you know it's no sense going to court now"
"And let him have my children?"
"what choice do you have they will decide to go with them their mom loves them"
"I provided for them I work hard to give them a home and food, she don't have anything not even a job"
"That wasn't enough, they needed love this guy gave them love it's obvious"
"But what about money, I know she's expecting me to give her half on my money right so she and her man can live off it"
"I don't think they want your money Aran, their concerns are the children the guy is a retired military second in command lieutenant after sixteen years I'm sure he retired with enough to carry him through, he setup a business for her and own two for himself his mother pitch in too so they have a family who don't just care they got love"
Aron sat back on his chair

Aran wonder how he managed to fight off him and his friend escaping with out no serious injuries, "so the boy is a ex military?"
"So he is and a very good solider one at his best, it's not necessary fighting for he knows people and people knows him the guy don't look trouble and when trouble goes his way he is trained to kill"
Aran nod,
"you keep in touch with me I'll keep you posted" he push the paper to him to let him sign, he sign it then shove it back,
"You'll be alright" the lawyer told him walking to the door, he nods when the lawyer left he fist the wall, "fuck you woman" he shout punching the wall again, "Fuck you and fuck him,
Tiana drove over to see Sophia and Rosa they were both so excited to see her, they sat and discuss the party have tea before leaving, Nathaniel was home when she got back from his mother he was with his lawyer in the bar, after visiting the children playing out back she went to knock on the door,
"Ah, pretty you're back" he got up to greet her with a long kiss "meet Ryan Palmer my lawyer, Ryan my love" he said kiss her again, she turn and wave at the man, "HI" she said
"Good news pretty he signed"
"He did!?"
"Yes, now I'm sure he won't make any trouble" he told her turning to his lawyer, "he won't, right?"
"As for as his lawyer is concerned"
Nathaniel hand Tiana the papers and a pen she sign both copies left them on the table then left him again.
Tiana pick up Nora at her place since she made two trips there already she became familiar with the rote,
They went out to order the cakes and get decorations Tiana was expecting clover, Marc and the children in the afternoon, she was hoping to wrap up and get back before they arrive, good thing they didn't have to wait they only had to order pay and go, she pay using the credit card Nate gave her, they got the decorations, drop Nora back at her place then head home, Nathaniel was still out and the children were staying with Maria, they came running once she got in and park, she hug and greet them rush in to use the bathroom as she has to pee like often quit often she relax with Niccane Rihanna hand her water which she gladly accept, she settled in and call clover to see if she was making her way alright, she hang up from clover to call Nathaniel to see if he was ok, he was still at the camp site and won't leave there before a hour time, she call Sophia to tell her how the party planning was coming on saying that she'll see her tomorrow,
"While we wait for aunt clover we should fix a place for them"
Tiana said taking the stairs,
They were finishing up when the car came she became familiar with the sound of Nate's car she could tell that wasn't him coming home by now he probably was on his way but wouldn't get here as yes, she heard Clover's voice and the children, She open up the front door on coming down and the children scream as they greet each other,
"Wow look at you, are you showing?" clover said rubbing Tiana's belly Tiana look down and they both grin, "just look at the place and the colour was it your idea?"
"I can't tell it was actually the colour I told his mother would look good on her patio"
Clover grin,
Tiana greet Marc hug Lia, Kerr and Dane "welcome to my new home" she said "I'll show you to your room
It was much more beautiful once on the inside as clover look around,
Maria came out to greet them then went back to the kitchen, tiana and the child take them upstairs show them to their bedroom, Lia was sharing with Rihanna as she requested and the other two in together clover a her man in the room at the other side of the master bedroom Tiana shares with Nathaniel , soon as Tiana show clover in she pulled her out once again they ended up through the dinning room to the pool walk around and went to sit on the patio, Tiana gladly talk about the divorce that was finalized thinking she didn't need to worry he wouldn't bother her,
Nathaniel saw the car that belongs to clover park near his truck, he didn't forget they were coming but because he left the camp a little late, and stop at the jewelry store he was thinking since Tiana is now divorce they're living together she's pregnant with his kid he should ask for marriage, it's why he's late they were gather now in the living room waiting for him, "hey" he said coming in the children ran to him and like each time he went away and came lift Niccane then hug rihanna,
"Hey" he greet clover and Marc coming to shake his hand he hug clover kiss her cheek, "hey pretty" he said coming to kiss Tiana "sorry I'm late I got business"
"You said you would leave at a hour time"
"I did had to stop, I'm here now is it too late to fresh up for dinner?"
"Go a head you would have to anyway"
"Excuse me" he said taking the stairs,
They were gathering around the dinning room table when he came down he sat next to Tiana she turn to look at him for already everyone were talking and she knows how much he like this time during dinner to be quiet, she observe his reaction as the children chat excitingly, Nathaniel widened his eyes as he look at Tiana, he put the fork down rest his palm under his cheek as he observe the kids
After they were all finish eating he got up, "you kids are really good, who talks this much at food time and doesn't bite their tongue"
Rihanna giggle, "we're only just excited" she said
"Good for you" he said walking to the sink to leave his dish, he turn to lean his back on the counter cross his legs, and his arms fold, Tiana watch him,
"Anyway I'll leave you guys to talking" he make his way to the kitchen door,
"Are you going back out?" Rihanna ask
"No"
"Do you have to think again?"
"Nah! I have nothing to think about now"
"Are we talking too much?" Niccane asked
"That's definitely it" Nathaniel said with a laugh rubbing Niccane's head, he held up his hands "I'm not bothered at all I just need a drink" he said turning to Marc, "Care for a drink?"
"Scotch?" Mark ask
"If scotch is what you want"
Marc got up and left with him,
Rosa clean up the children went up to their room and Tiana took clover out walking on the lawn, they were on the patio when they heard Marc and Nathaniel talking in the bar Tiana and clover smile at each other as they carry on their own conversation, they later put the children in bed and went to their rooms, Tiana was in bed when Nathaniel crawl in, he lay close to her kissing her shoulders, "Are you sleeping?" He ask
"I am" Tiana said
"I want you" he whispered rubbing on her his hand circle her hip pinning his body to her, "I can do it like this right?" He rolled her to her belly climbing on her entering her from behind, "it won't hurt the baby now will it, is it going to hurt you?"
"It's ok we're both fine" Tiana told him,
They make out and cuddle up with each other, Tiana woke him with kisses in the morning, "happy birthday babe...!" She said
"Make Love to me" he said holding on to her, Tiana laugh, "I'll be back" Tiana said going into the bathroom, she few minutes later came back dress in the lingerie he gave her,
He proped up on his elbow grinning at her, "that's sexy, really sexy, woman come over her so I can love you undividedly"
Tiana crawl on the bed on top of him, they made out then took a shower, they later went down to two screaming children who came running to Nathaniel, "happy birthday!" they said jumping in him to hug him
Clover and the children had came together with her husband to buy him a gift
He open it with a smile it was a pair of cute car cushion that he fell in love with, "thank you, these are cute" he said smiling,
Rihanna hand him his gift and one for Niccane, who bought him a wallet, Nathaniel has never travel with one of these before he accepted it putting his things in side, "Rih honey I love this" he said getting from her a pair of big fluffy dice for his car,
His mother brought him a nice coat similar to the one Tiana got him Tiana thank God it wasn't the same colour for it would have been easily mistaken for the same thing,
"They are both lovely" he said kissing tiana hugging her to him,
Nora came in the afternoon for them to decorate the bar while they work on that Nathaniel Richard and Marc sat with the children at the pool watching them as they talk,
"Don't get dress yet" Nathaniel said pulling Tiana's dress from the clutch of her palm,
"But why the party is is almost started"
"Let them start with out us for some time"
"The party is for the birthday boy, what a party with out him" Tiana ease him from her, "we can do it later, here get dress" she hand him his shirt took her dress and get into it, "I'm mad" he make a face,
"I'll give you all you need later"
"Promise?" He ask
"promise" Tiana kiss him rubbing his cheek,
They came down together and everyone came to greet him by hand shake and by hug,
The party was good they were having fun Nathaniel was sitting on the bar stool watching the party,
"May I have this dance?" Tiana ask he giggle giving her his hand for sometime they dance to a slow song, the music pause and Nathaniel calls for everyone's attention, Sophia look to see him got on one knee held her chest Rosa hug her and they both grin,
"What is he doing?" Rihanna ask
"I think he's about to ask mom if she can marry him" Niccane said
"I want to think it is what he's going to do too" clover said I pray she say yes"
"Tiana smirk at him as he held her hand he was on his knees for five minutes just looking at her,
"Tiana I don't want to rush us into anything but where we are now it's at our sweetest moment, I want to continue to live life with you and keep all the special moment, Tiana will you marry me?"
"Ah! Mar-ry you..., Are you sure?"
"I've not been this sure about anything else"
"I want what you want Nate, yes, yes I'll definitely mar-ry marry you"
He slid the ring to her finger she bend and kiss him firmly cuffing his cheeks
They dance another slow song it was over when his mother came and a new song started, Tiana leave him to go after clover pulling her to some place quiet,, then they got together got with Sophia and the other ladies.
After the party Nora stay back to help with the cleaning up before leaving with her family, they little later say goodnight to Sophia and Rosa,
Nathaniel couldn't wait to disappeared with Tiana for them to make out, he got a lot of her love but couldn't get enough, and needed more,
Sunday before clover they leave they all went to the beach later they bid each other good bye,
Tiana, Nathaniel and the children spend some time together before the children went to bed, Nathaniel and Tiana hang out by the pool and soak in the jacuzzi,
Tiana turn to face Nathaniel as she did his hand cuffs her butt cheek, pressing her to his hardness,
"We should get naked and Fu..." He trail off and giggle he knew she would frown at his words "let's make love, have you ever done it like this in the water?"
"Is that a new one you want to teach?"
"My wife to be"
Tiana giggle hugging him,
"I like the sound of that baby"
"I want to catch as much as I can it's going to be impossible when you started to grow extra large"
They both giggle as they look at her tummy,
Their love grow stronger each day than the day before, each day went by and they grow into each other,
They went sailing with the children for nearly a week before coming back home, the children get to stay the weekend at Sophia they get to do things they like and enjoy with no fuss, it's their first summer like this and didn't held back their amusement,
"Let's get married in October" Nathaniel said,
It was now early September already and she was shooting like a rose bud Nathaniel was enjoying watching her shoot loving each moment,
"You're going to be late for work, I'm going to be late for work"
"Let's be late for work ah"
Tiana kiss him "I would like to but let's stay up later"
He hug her to him and they share a wet kiss he took up his bag looking her up and down before walking out,
Tiana came to fort Collins to look about school since it's the ending of the holidays she and the children drove to see clover they were together at paw berry talking tiana heard,  they heard the bikes turn to look the children were shock to see their dad both becoming nervous,
They cross the street to where they were coming to the table were they sat, he stood over them grinning "am I seeing right?" He said laughing, "hello people I'm surprised to see all your faces what is this my lucky day" Aran said grabbing Niccane at the arm
"let him go Aran!" Tiana said getting up to face him, he look her over lingering at her belly then he look at her face let go Niccane and grip Tiana, pulling her harshly to him, "you barely left me and you're with his child what kind of bitch are you?"
"leave me Aran"
"Leave her Aran" clover said
"Where is he now to protect you?" He ask
"Stop it daddy" Rihanna said when she saw her father dragging her mother,
"Shut up you little"he said looking at his daughter,
"Aran you'll hurt her" clover said
"That's exactly what I want to do, you think you would get off so easy, ah is that what you think?" He chuckled
Nathaniel was in town to see his past commanding officer Mr Willis since he learn he's in town and is setting up the camp  he had ask to meet with him and today he decided to get off from the office and see him, he was in fort Collins where he live, he  thought he saw the Jeep belonging to Tiana, but he never heard her mentioned coming to fort Collins, he drove slowly looking he saw the bikes and didn't miss Tiana's husband, he made out, Cecilia's boy toy too he wasn't sure what the gathering was for, on seeing clover's car he stop his truck and got out, he saw the kids he made out Niccane and Rihanna, he hussle to where they were and tian came in view he could see the kids father holding on to her,
He push a side one of the men grab Aran on his shoulder turn him to him and send a hard blow to his cheek,
"Take your hand off my woman!"Nathaniel said angrily, Aran let go Tiana suddenly Nathaniel send another hard fist on the same cheek causing him to stumbled, Timmy back away for he still suffer from pain from their fight, the others didn't dear to step in, "are you so hard to learn?" He ask fist him another time, "Can't you see she's pregnant?, stay away from her" he warned, "The next time I have to tell you that you won't live to regret it"
"She should stay out of fort Collins"
"She got friends here and I swear to you the next time you see her and touch you" he hiss, "let's go" he told Tiana he turn to call to clover and the kids
"I'll call you Tiana said hugging clover,
Tiana got in the Jeep with the children and drove off
Nathaniel wait for clover to go before he got in his truck,
"You're playing with your life Mada fucker" Aran said pointing at Nathaniel, "I'm going to kill you I'm going to fucking kill you"
Nathaniel got down from his truck walking back to where they were Aran got on his bike and rode away the others follow behind him, Nathaniel turn to see a few men looking at him they smile and nod at him, he got back in his truck drove away and didn't look back,
Tiana look for him behind her but it was after a while Rihanna said he was behind them he caught up when they were almost home, they got out and come together "you two ok?" Nathaniel ask, "he didn't hurt you in anyway did he?"
"He squeeze my arm" Niccane said
"don't worry he won't hurt you again I promise"
They both hug him,
"What about you pretty did he hurt you, are you ok?" He held her, Tiana held his cheeks kiss him, "you came before he could thank you, I'm sorry I shouldn't have gone there"
"It's a free country he has no right trying to restrict you but the next time you run into him and he much as try I'm" he stop himself Tiana kiss him, "it's ok baby" she told him and they hug.
Tiana finally got sign up and start her yoga class she attends each morning Nathaniel sometimes accompany her when Richard could bring the children to school on Saturday's they went together the four of them,
When ever clover visit for the weekend Nathaniel give her and Tiana the chance to took yoga together while the children stay home with Maria or often his mother when she visit on Saturday or they visited her for weekends, he would get together with Richard and Marc hang out either at home or they went out, some weekends they would go sailing together the kids were becoming found of the sea,
They got married in October as planned at his mother's church on the fifteen, they took a short honeymoon sailing out to las vegas stay for a week before returning, Las Vegas was just a name Tiana heard but never knew she would one day visit, it was a good trip she just hope she had enjoy it more but not much could be done with her tummy apart from having sex Nathaniel was all about that, Tiana smile even her couldn't get enough of him things with him were so good, they were at their very best now Tiana couldn't be more happy he loves her and treat her right, that was everyday and every night, they share the children like he was the name on their birth certificate, he was good to them very good to them, they did respect his space and give him time to think it was all he ask for,
Times goes by like each hour was another day and Tiana kept growing, growing fast Nathaniel cherish each day watching that tummy grow, he lay next to her naked body rubbing his fingers over her belly walking them up then down,
"I bet those fingers are tired now" Tiana said facing him, he smile at her leaning to kiss her,
He continues to love her as gentle as he could with each passing day,
On February twenty Tiana give birth to their son, and name him Nicodain Archibald he was a healthy boy and watching him grow was Nathaniel's main priority, one of his favorite thing to do, he spend lots of time with rihanna and Niccane but his birth son became the joy of his heart,
"Mom what are you doing ma?" Nathaniel ask he came over to see his mother moving out his father's old chunk,
"I'm sending your father a way I'll never move on if I kept holding on to his things"
Nathaniel saw the truck came in his mother's front yard and start moving the things "what do you plan to do?"
"A room that when my grand children came to visit they'll have some where to play"
Nathaniel laugh hug his mother he spent a little time with her before he went off,
Tiana knew she heard him talking with the children on the outside but when she got there she didn't see him, she went up to the nursery room to find him rocking the baby across his arms,
"Baby I knew I heard you"
"Shhhh" he said "he's going back to sleep", Tiana came close as he rest the baby back in the crib,
"I think he looks just like me" he whispered
"That's because he does honey"
Nathaniel smile
"Dinner is ready, are do you want to eat here?"
"No I'm sitting at the table" he say taking tiana's hand, they went down together where they sat and have dinner, he was getting use to the kids talking at the table and it didn't bother him anymore right now he didn't have much thinking to do, he was just observing and looking, looking forward to the future with his wife and kids, few years ago he dreamt of this day he thought he would have this day with Alex but change does comes in the blink of an eye here he's now hoping for the chance to cherish these moments he got here now, they have dinner and  he became apart of the kid's conversation as they talk soccer and cheer leading he hope his son took on soccer as well much as he wasn't in for the game but it became a family game now and he was looking forward to coaching him on the side someday,
