Chapter 7

A visit to an orphanage is a life-changing experience as it is filled with emotions and sentiments. Gulf loves the environment. Heartwarming and feels like he was home again. The smile he got from the kids as they distributed drawing block and crayons made him felt satisfying thinking how the small gifts could give happiness and pleasure towards the kids.

“Okay, kids! I see that all of you are very excited because someone here is kindly gave you a gift. Do you like it?” Melanie gathered the kids in a hall for their activities today.

“Yes!” The kids answered in unison, cheerfulness and joyfulness clearly could be hear from their tone.

“What do you have to say when someone is kind to you?”

“Thank you.”

“Okay now say, thank you Teacher Kana and friends.”

“Thank you Teacher Kana and friends!”

“Hey, Melanie. I’m not their teacher. And why Kana in the first place?” Gulf whispered to Melanie while his lips were non-stop giving the kids smile.

“There’s nothing wrong with that name Gulf. It’s okay. You can introduce yourself again later. No worries, they will hear you.” Melanie answered him in a slow voice.

“Now, everyone. I'll let Teacher Kana here to proceed with our activities for today. Have fun yaaa!”

Melanie left the kids with Gulf and his friends. Gulf used to came here once, but this is the first time he held an activity with the kids. Besides, she knew how much Gulf loves kids, therefore she believed that the kids will have an affection for him soon.

“Hi and hello kids! My name is Gulf, and you don’t need to call me Teacher Kana okay. And those are my friends, Eye, Mew and Bright.”

“Gulfie, your friend Mew is so handsome!” One of a kid shouted from the back. Mew scratched his nape, while the others were laughing at him.

“You have to grow up if you want to be as handsome as him.” Gulf chuckled before he continued “So, all of you already got a drawing block and crayons, right? I'll show you some example of drawing, and you can copy it or add your own idea, okay?”

Gulf took out his painting from a box where he brought from his room and showed them to the kids. Mew observed him and the drawing he held. Type was clearly written at the corner of the painting. The painting looked simple, but it still can captivate Mew's eyes.

So Gulf really brought Type’s drawing. Why he didn’t come by himself? Mew wondered by himself. But Gulf's voice brought him back to reality.

“We will draw them together okay. You can start now. If you need help, just call any of us.”

“Gulf, I don’t know how to draw. I won’t choose music if I know how to draw, Gulf.” Eye muttered to her friend. She knew how bad her drawing could turn out. A cat might change into a dog once she started drawing.

“It’s okay, Eye. I can teach you.” Bright winked to Eye trying to comfort her. She looked back up at Bright. A gentle flush of pink had arisen in her cheeks that made her look vulnerable. Bright smiled when he noticed it. While, two pair of eyes and their mouth were frozen wide open in an expression of stunned surprise.  Mew and Gulf looked at each other with expression when-the-fuck-they-are-flirting-with-each-other?.

Mew coughed a little bit before Gulf continued “You guys can go ahead flirting with each other but not in front of these kids please.” Bright and Eye smile awkwardly when they realized their actions.
