Have you ever rethought your entire life? Because honestly, I currently really am, as I think back to why I ever let Naer, Odree, Zainab and Zohad in the same house together.

I groan, shoving away all the newspapers away off of the floor, in search of my cellphone, which has been ringing continuously for I don't know how long.

I stand up abruptly, which was really a bad move. My freaking head, alongside my entire body aches.

"Shut that phone up," Zainab groans from her bizarre position on the couch, the paper hat on her head falling off.

"Ouch!"

I turn my head slowly to the owner of the voice, that being, Odree-who's lying on top of her husband. Naer slaps her hands away from his face.

"Hey, why you assaulting my ear for?" He cries in pain, rubbing his ears.

"My hair's stuck to your earring," Odree informs him, rubbing her hands. "Take it off."

I roll my eyes at both of them, looking around the living room. It's a mess. The television is on mute and has got some weird Chinese movie on; while the floor's littered with newspapers, DVDs and bottles of alcohol bottles lying around on the floor. There's some shattered objects too, which hopefully are just glasses. Good thing, Mamu doesn't come home until next week. He would've killed me.

"Whose phone is this?!" Zohad's yells, coming out from under a heap of pillows at one of the corners of the room. He sits up straight, rubbing his head, while his other hand holds my cellphone. I walk up to him to answer it, but it stops ringing by then. I glare at Zohad's slouched form. I'm so mad at him; and for the sake of it, I kick him lightly on his sides.

"Hey!" He scowls at me.

I narrow my eyes at him. "This is all your fault."

"I don't care," he retorts, before getting up and running to the washroom. Yeah, he's going to puke in there.

"My whole body hurts," Odree says, before taking a seat on the couch Zainab's sitting on.

"Whoever thought it would be awesome to get drunk again?" Zainab asks, sitting up, leaning on the couch's arm.

Odree and I shoot Naer a look. He rolls his eyes, trying to stand up straight, in search of his t-shirt. "It's a Friday."

I ignore his lousy reasoning and turn to my phone to see who had called me. Mamu had called me on Messenger, while Zuhair left a few texts. I received a number of texts from Irisha, one text from Tashdeed and three missed calls from Amira.

Oh shit. Right, Amira. I sigh and decide to deal with all of them later. I go to my call history, to check who called me last. There are six missed calls and all from Farshad.

Oh, man. I peek at the time on my cellphone, which reads 11:45 am.

Why did I ever agree to go for lunch with him? Damn it. I check the times for the calls. He's been calling me since 8:00 am.

Rubbing my eyes, I decide to ask him if we could shift our date, but before I can type in the whole text, a text from him interrupts me.

Hi. I know, it's a Friday and I know you might want to cancel since you haven't answered my million calls, but please see me. It's really urgent. I'll come by at 1 to pick you up.

Ps. Dress nice.

I groan. It's already 11:50!

"I'm going for a shower." I look up to inform my friends and sister, to find all of them again sound asleep. I shake my head at them. It took them only five minutes to fall back to sleep.
