When Oliver told me about his home, it was nothing that I was expecting. I didn't expect so many people, so many buildings and cars. They had streets full of people just walking around, and cars driving by everywhere. It was loud, definitely different than being alone on a island. I wasn't sure how I was gonna fit in, I mean, I have never been around a group bigger than 10 people before. This is thousands of people, I won't know how to act or what to exactly say to people. Everything is gonna be different now. Oliver saved me, brought me into this new world, but I don't know if it was the best thing to do.Oliver's mom had picked us up from the hospital. The place where injured people go to for help. It's quite nice, if you think about it. How they have a place for the injured and try to fix them. They had did a bunch of things to me. Took some blood, did some type of scans. Both Oliver and the doctor told me that it was all fine. That nothing was wrong that they were just checking my health. The doctor seemed a little surprised by my health, probably because he knows I was alone on a island for most of my life. I didn't exactly have the machines or equipment to tell me if I was healthy or not.
Oliver told me that he lived in a mansion and had maids and butlers and whatever fancy people had. Or so, what he told me. He told me he grew up rich, and used to be a playboy (whatever that means). He also told me that he had a younger sister. He said that he hadn't seen her since she was 12. I felt bad for him and his family. His family lost their son and didnt know he was alive for 5 years. And now he's back, which will be a hard transition for him too. Since everyone thought he was dead, they probably had moved on from him.
My jaw dropped as the car pulled up to the mansion. It was huge and beautiful. I couldn't believe that they lived in something this gorgeous. Maybe that's to me, but I never seen anything like this before. Oliver had a straight look on his face, like he wasn't sure if he was happy to be back home. To be back here in the city.
"Oliver" I called out to him, causing him to turn his head and look at me.
"Yeah?" He asked me, forcing a smile on his face.
"Everything okay?" I questioned, knowing that he is about to lie to me.
"Yeah of course. Why would anything be wrong? I'm home with my family now" Oliver told me, although his eyes told me a different story. I just nodded my head, not wanting to bug him too much. He could just be having a hard time coming back home. I mean, he was gone for 5years, so I understand why he'd be having trouble getting used to it. Hell, I'm having trouble and I havent been that deep in the city.
Once the car stopped, we all got out of the vehicle. I wasn't sure how well this was gonna go for me, considering that the people taking me in don't know me. Oliver kinda gave his mom no choice but to bring me home. I didn't have anywhere else to go.
We walked up to the front door, his mom opening it. His mom said a few words to him, but Oliver wasn't paying much attention. He looked around the house, seeing how his home looks. It was a beautiful home. In the middle of the room stood a table with flowers and pictures. The pictures were Oliver's family. In all the pictures, everyone was smiling. I didn't pay much attention as another voice entered the room.
A young girl came running down the starts, repeating "I knew it" as she headed to Oliver. Oliver welcomed her into a hug, pulling her close. Oliver had his family back, and smiles were everywhere. All except for me. Once the girls eye landed on me, she pulled away from the hug.
"Who's that?" She asked, causing Oliver to turn his head.
"That's Bear" he told her as he gave me a smile. The girl nodded her head, confusion all over her face.
"Oh" she said, "was she on the island with you?" She asked Oliver, looking at him.
"The island was my home" I told her, causing her to face me.
