{Robin's POV}
What do I say? What do I do? I am standing here completely still, frozen, just feet away from the woman I deeply care for.
I stare at Marian as she asks me once again, "Robin tell me the truth. Are we here to see Gina?"
"Marian it's just the park."
"Where the evil queen just so happens to be?" Marian fires back with her arms still crossed.
"It's a park! People are allowed to come if they please!" I say throwing my hands up in frustration.
Sighing in frustration Marian answers back, "Do you think I'm an idiot? I saw the way you looked at her! I saw the way you just came to a sudden stop the second you saw her! It's as if everything in the world stopped and the only two people were you two! Robin, I don't know what else to say."
I look down at the ground trying to calm down. She's right. I have deep unresolved feelings for Regina, but she doesn't love me.
"Doesn't matter how I feel or don't feel. You are my wife. You are my family. I would choose you any day all over again," I wasn't lying. I would pick the honorable thing to do any day.
"Then why are we here?" she asks still talking about Regina.
"Look if it makes you feel better I'll leave you here with Roland and I'll go to take care of some business. Is that better?"
"Robin I'm sorry," she says finally uncrossing her arms.
"It's fine. You don't believe me when I tell you I choose you. I won't stop until you believe me," I try to convince her but more than anything I try to convince myself.
"Roland why don't you go with Mama to play on the slides?" I say kneeling down to look at Roland.
He looks to his left where Marian is standing then to his right where Regina is still sitting. He quickly glances towards me, picks a flower from the ground, and nods his head.
"Ok," is all I say as I stand back up and head towards Marian.
"Wait Roland!" Marian exclaims.
I turn around to see Roland heading to Regina with the flower he just picked.
"As stubborn as his father, " I tell myself, laughing a bit while going after him.
Roland finally reaches Regina and hands her the flower he picked. Regina just stares at Roland with confusion, almost like she has never seen him before.
I quicken my pace to try to reach Roland faster and see what's going on.
I finally reach them. I lay a hand on Roland's shoulder and say, "My apologies Regina. He just took off before I could do anything."
"It's fine really. He's just a little kid," says as she looks at the flower Roland gave her.
She looks different but I can't place my finger on what it is. Did she actually mean what she said about not having feelings for me?
"Regina where have you been. I've missed playing with you," Roland surprisingly says since it's only been two or three days tops since we have seen Regina. But I don't blame him. I miss her too.
"I'm sorry," she says cut off by Henry approaching with his backpack.
A wave of relief surges through me as I think back to the way she looked when she got a phone call not to long ago. it was Henry, not another person.
"Hey mom sorry I'm late. I brought my algebra homework and science homework," Henry says setting his bag down on the table beside Regina's coffee.
"Henry!" Roland exclaims giving Henry a bear hug.
"Roland hey! What have you been up to?" Henry asks as he picks Roland up over his shoulders.
I look over at Regina but she seems confused. It's almost like she doesn't even know who we are.
Her phone rings and as she answers it her face just completely changes. What once looked bright and full of life now looks terrified and angry.
"Are you sure?" is all she can say.
Henry, noticing his mother's face, gently put Roland on the ground. He takes my arm and pulls me towards a tree.
"Henry what's going on?" I ask. First Regina is acting like someone didn't just come back from the dead. Now she's hiding something that clearly upsets her.
"Look Robin don't say anything to her ok? If I tell you this you can't make a big deal out of it," Henry says.
"Well tell me so I can decided on whether or not to make a big deal out of it."
"For the record I'm not one hundred percent sure but my moms are not acting the same. I saw how she was when your wife came back. She was shattered. And now not even an entire week later she acts like nothing even happened. I asked her a few things and she looked at me like I was talking a different language."
"Henry what are you saying?" I ask afraid of the answer.
He takes a quick glance at Regina still on the phone. He turns his attention towards me and pulls me farther under the tree.
"Look I'm not sure ok? Neither of my moms know this but I've been listening to their phone calls. I've been reading their texts and emails. Apparently people are going missing again once they get near the town line. My mom said some important stuff from her vault was stolen..,"
"What does Regina having some things stolen from her vault have to do with any of this?" I immediately ask cutting him off.
"The things that were stolen were sealed in a compartment with blood magic," he replies.
"But that's immpossible. The only people that can break that is someone who is blood related correct?"
"Yeah. But sadly that's not the thing that worries me the most," he sighs looking down.
Now it's my turn to look at Regina still on the phone looking like she's about to explode.
The gentle breeze of a falls day makes the leaves on the tree rustle, gently making a sound. When the breeze finally reaches Regina, she looks up, letting the wind move her hair out of her face, relaxing a bit. How I wish I could be the one to relax her. To hug her, to reassure her when she feels like the world might crumple beneath her feet. But something is not right. And I will not rest until I know what it is.
"Robin my mom doesn't remember you, Roland, or Marian. And I'm afraid Zelena might have something to do with all three things going on."
My heart drops to the pit of my stomach the second he finished talking.
