{Regina's POV}

"What kind of question is this Gold?" I say. Again with the weird questions.

"Nothing dearie. I just want you to refresh my memory. Maybe we can find a way to trap Zelena," he explains over the phone.

"Well seeing how you are the one that found it. I don't think I need to go into explicit detail. I hid it in the woods by a tree covered by leaves. Any of this ring a bell?" I ask still curious why he is asking.

"So you didn't give it to anyone to hold or keep safe?" he asks.

What? Why would I trust someone with something as important as my heart.

"No Gold, that's about it. You of all people know where I hid it,"

No answer. From the other end I hear a dead tone, he hung up. Fine, he's the one asking all of the questions. Yet there was something while he was talking. It was like he knew something I didn't.

I look at the time on my phone. I have to be at the park in twenty minutes. I look ahead of me, only two people in front. I sigh and continue to do some work on my phone and try to look busy.

The man in front of me turns and I just stand there with my mouth wide open, metaphorically of course. Mother taught me better than to show emotions.

"Hello there again," he says with a smirk on his face.

"Jake?"

"Oh come on. It hasn't even been an entire hour and you have already forgotten me. I have to say I'm a bit disappointed," he says.

I can't help but to start to laugh a bit. His hazel eyes never looking away.

"What's so funny?" he asks, trying to not laugh.

"Well sorry if I consider this a little funny. You were at the diner at the exact moment you were needed to be there and now you are here at the exact you are needed," I say, finally done laughing.

"Well feel free to tell me how I am needed here," he says with a smile. He slightly tilts his and the sunlight captures his eyes at the correct angle.

The cashier calls out Jake's order, one medium coffee with two donuts and a bagel.

Before he turns around I say, "This is why," and grab his order. I place a twenty where his order was as I head out the door.

From the corner of my eye I see Jake just standing there, puzzled but also laughing. He turns back around and I guess he placed his order again.

Before I can exit the door he says, "Good to know I could assist you."

I let out a slight chuckle as I head out the door. I take my phone out as I keep waking down the sidewalk and text Henry, holding the coffee and bag of donuts in my other hand.

Hey Henry, be there in ten.

As I head back down the street to the park I can't help but feel that something is going to happen. I turn the corner, seeing the park in the distance.

As I keep walking down the sidewalk, I see a man with who I must guess is his wife and son. The man picks up his son and throws him over his shoulder. The kid stars laughing, showing his dimples which he must have gotten from his father since his father's smile also has them. The mother is off to the side smiling at what is transpiring before her.

I quickly look away before I'm caught looking. I look down and smile to myself. A perfect family.

When I look up, I feel like someone's eyes were on me. From the corner of my eye I think I see the father looking at me, but why?
