"You sold the car!?" exclaimed Trevor with excitement.

"I sold the car!" Fred confirmed.

"You had a car?" asked Giovanna.

"That's fucking awesome, man! But wait, how did you sell it that fast?" inquired Trevor

"When you have a Cadillac, my friend, there's always a long line of people waiting to buy it." joked Fred. "Now seriously, I wanna apologize for behaving like an idiot before, and before that, and before that... I'm basically apologizing for the last two months, okay? You're right, I need to grow up. I'm gonna find a job, I'm gonna keep my word, and I'll make you proud."

Trevor smiled.

"I behaved like a child too." admitted Trevor. "I'm really sorry man, I wasn't myself."

They hugged with emotion while Giovanna watched the scene uncomfortably. Now Trevor was soaked too.

"Enough. C'mon, let's get to work." said Giovanna, turning the Closed sign around to Open.

Two hours passed and The Brewtiful Café was full of clients. Almost all the tables were taken. The place was known for being a warm spot in the winter with delicious, cheap varieties of coffee. On its best days, in was like a steamy cauldron of scarfs, jackets, gloves and other warm clothes. This was one of its best days.

Giovanna and Trevor were working like crazy. She was at the bar taking the orders and Trevor was in the kitchen making them. Fred, who was dry now, was sitting at the bar, near Giovanna and the line of clients. The three of them had been talking smoothly, even joking around a little, until Trevor left for the kitchen when the mass of clients came, and the fun was over. At least for Trevor and Giovanna, since Fred was having the time of his life watching them work.

"Sorry, did you want sugar or Stevia?" shouted Giovanna to a man at the other side of the place. With the constant chatter and noise, he obviously didn't hear her. The woman in front of her looked angry. She was waiting for her order to be taken. Giovanna's moves were becoming more nervous and clumsy.

Trevor came to the bar carrying two lattes, four cappuccinos and a black coffee with his hands and arms. A skill learned by necessity. She now had to call out loud the numbers to every order.

"Are you gonna take my order or not?" the woman waiting in the line demanded.

"Just a second!" begged Giovanna, picking up the papers with the numbers. "Thirty two?" she yelled, trying to look over everyone's shoulders to spot the person who had ordered the thirty two. Nobody seemed to come, and she couldn't see anything. "Shit." she muttered. What she did spot, however, was Fred laughing at her. "What are you laughing at, duckface?"

"Oh, c'mon, you suck at this job." he said between chuckles.

"Yes, she does." commented the woman waiting to order. She gave a hi-five to Fred, who started laughing even harder.

"Will you both cut it!?" she yelled at them. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" she quickly added to the customer, with a sudden blush on her face. The woman sighed and rolled her eyes. Giovanna turned to Fred. "At least I have a job, fucker. What are you even doing here? Thirty three?" she yelled again, trying to see who came at her call.

"I'm just enjoying my reconciliation with my roomie." said Fred. "And hey, I work real hard to find a job, okay? Let me have a lil' rest."
